Damn, I hoped the touchscreen would also be 3d. Hell I'd rather it be one screen, 3d and touch.
Definitely day one buy, I haven't seen a launch lineup this good since the n64.

God some people are retarded.
Looking good.
Awesome, now i probably will buy it because of metal gear 3 :)
Damn, I hoped the touchscreen would also be 3d. Hell I'd rather it be one screen, 3d and touch.
They considered it but they thought it'd "break" 3D. [editline]03:34AM[/editline] And my favorite color is the red one.
Holy shit Resident Evil looks very nice; http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/game/?g=residentevil
I jizzed in joy when I saw "Final design TBA" on Nintendo's site.
I thought that was the final design, I don't like it too much. Thanks for brightening my day even more.
Barrel rolls in the 3rd dimension
Holy shit Resident Evil looks very nice; http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/game/?g=residentevil
Don't tell me you really think those are screenshots.
Don't tell me you really think those are screenshots.
Well, they're porting Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to the 3DS, so maybe the RE screenshots aren't too far off.
Umm. Shit, that's awesome.
The graphics better be better, the original DS had HORRIBLE graphics, worse then Half life 1.
Well, they're porting Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to the 3DS, so maybe the RE screenshots aren't too far off.
It's a handheld console, it isn't going to look Xbox or PS3 quality. Yes they're porting it, but their going to water down the graphics a lot so it will run.
It's a handheld console, it isn't going to look Xbox or PS3 quality. Yes they're porting it, but their going to water down the graphics a lot so it will run.
With enough effort they can make it look like an xbox game.

Yes they're porting it, but their going to water down the graphics a lot so it will run.
Well, some of the screenshots they've shown are Gamecube-quality at best, Nintendo 64-quality at worst. I had a theory that the RE:R screenshots were just prettied up CG or cutscenes, and the actual gameplay will probably look more like Resident Evil 4 did on the Gamecube, if of course possible.
It looks terrible. [editline]01:48AM[/editline] The fuck is my GBA slot. [editline]01:49AM[/editline] What the fuck is that a analog stick [editline]01:49AM[/editline] Its a slight improvement over the DSi, which was also not that mind blowing.
It looks terrible. [editline]01:48AM[/editline] The fuck is my GBA slot. [editline]01:49AM[/editline] What the fuck is that a analog stick
Whyyyy are people still complaining about the lack of the GBA slot? The GBA came out almost ten years ago! As a developmental platform, it's nonexistent, and you have other GBAs and DSes for it.
I have every fuckin gba handheld so it doesn't matter if the ds lacks a gba slot
Besides the fact Game Freak want people to trade with the New pokemon games with the old ones, its impossible to do. Plus, GBA games rule.
Whyyyy are people still complaining about the lack of the GBA slot? The GBA came out almost ten years ago! As a developmental platform, it's nonexistent, and you have other GBAs and DSes for it.
This is very true. And the fact that some people are looking at the 3DS as an incremental change and not a actual new system.
Whyyyy are people still complaining about the lack of the GBA slot? The GBA came out almost ten years ago! As a developmental platform, it's nonexistent, and you have other GBAs and DSes for it.
Agreed. If you don't have a Game Boy Advance by now (or, to a far less degree since they're still 'active', a DS or DS Lite), then I think it's a little too late to try and go back to it. Sure, it has or had memorable games aplenty, but the Game Boy Advance is dried up by now.
I still have my DS Phat and I still use it regularly :v:
This. [editline]01:55AM[/editline] My Gameboy died a while ago, the only way to play them with the DS Phat
While the technology is indeed interesting, and I'd love to see it in action, I couldn't be less interested in the games if I tried. That said, as long as the 3D doesn't turn out to be an annoying gimmick, they could turn out to be awesome.I'm probably not making much sense now, I'm half asleep. Nighty night.

It's just a slight upgrade. :downs:
Isn't that Dementium: The Ward ? That's a good DS game. Need to make it 3D.
Yes it is. I need to buy it some time, probably in the bargain bin. It looks interesting enough.
Isn't that Dementium: The Ward ? That's a good DS game. Need to make it 3D.
Dementium is awesome. It would be great on the 3DS with better graphics.
A simmulation of the 3D would be nice. Although I'll just end up stopping into Gamestop to look at it when it comes around anyway. I'll probably be getting this as my DSi broke. Something like this:
N64 remakes + New Paper Mario + MGS make this an instant buy for me. I'm half-tempted to say that Nintendo did such a good job on this they should work on creating a handheld with incredible next-gen or even current-gen (NOT WII) capabilities as opposed to something past the Wii. The best part is they actually managed to introduce Ridge Racer on a handheld system without any "RIIIIIDGE RACER!!" embarassment.
I heard that the MGS game was actually just a tech demo to demonstrate the technology of the 3DS, and not an actual game. I hope not.
