So guys, should I buy it now, or buy something else and buy IL-2 later when it has been patched?
I would still buy it now, the beta patch did wonders for me.
I would still buy it now, the beta patch did wonders for me.
Will do tomorrow then, it's been way too long since I last played an IL-2.
I can't buy cliffs of dover over steam :c will it go retail?
I think so
Oh goddamnit cliffs of dover, here goes my money again. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] oh god we are gonna be poor.
Anyone have an engine to spare? :v:
How the fuck
I think ur magnetos are faulty
Hold up a minute, does Cliffs of Dover support a TrackIR? I just ordered one.
have you tried lock on? you can get the original really cheap now and if you like it get the unofficial FC2
I remember trying it for a few minutes at my friend's a long time ago, but I currently don't have the cash for a good joystick + TrackIR. Though I wish LOMAC had a Central Germany theater and older NATO ground units. (Are there M60s, Chieftains and Leopard 1s? I'm not sure)
I'm done. They've lost themselves a customer. If they push the release date once, then shame on them. If they push it three times and then push it again with another month's wait, then shame on me. This is maybe the only instance where I think it's perfectly OK to pirate a game. Way to pull on the strings when your the biggest customers are the Americans with thousand dollar flight rigs. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
Hold up a minute, does Cliffs of Dover support a TrackIR? I just ordered one.
yes.
yes.
Very good.
I can't buy cliffs of dover over steam :c will it go retail?
I've just seen it in EB Games an hour ago. It's out. Australia. What's this, Australia getting a game before the US? So many TEARS!
In the US?
When the heck is it out on Steam in the US, because I just got one to gift me it through paypal with my money. Nevermind, I just read above..
Hold up a minute, does Cliffs of Dover support a TrackIR? I just ordered one.
You have to install HSFX to get full 6DOF though.
You have to install HSFX to get full 6DOF though.
cliffs of dover not il2
I got rid of my input lag problem by lowering my resolution. At least the game is playable now :buddy:
I was just chasing a 109 in a hurricane for like 12 minutes, taking shots at it at every turn, for a ACE ai it doesn't shoot much at me. cliffs of dover this is its like you need 5000 bullets per plane now
I've just seen it in EB Games an hour ago. It's out. Australia. What's this, Australia getting a game before the US? So many TEARS!
I'm from Estonia, genius. All games here are released half a year later and double the price in states and triple the price they're worth.
I'm from Estonia, genius. But goddamnit Estonia isn't a third world hole, why do games MAGICALLY get 20 euros added to their price? BTW you can still get the popular games like within a week.

So True JDB
I've been wondering this for the last few weeks, should I buy Cliffs of Dover or wait until the price goes down?
Hold up a minute, does Cliffs of Dover support a TrackIR? Or until my balance goes up.
A friend came through my place since I cooked something and then he got a sudden urge to play some IL2 with my joystick. We placed ourselves behind my table like a pilot and copilot and tried to land the B-17 together. Accidently the engines died out somehow and I had forgotten the button to which I had binded the ignition to. The phrase "halfway there" has never been so true.

So, I got Cliffs of Dover, had no idea what I was getting into really, but I like it. Problem is I find it so unsmooth to control with my keyboard. Should I get a 360 controller or a joystick, in case a joystick which one, and also, should I buy 1946 from steam, is it better to start with than Cliffs of Dover? Sorry for all the questions, but this series looks awesome and I'd love to get into it.
Lol its a flight sim you CANNOT play it with a keyboard. Joystick is a must, I use logitek extreme 3d pro.
