Flying late 40's jet/rocket fighters is good fun.
This is also a great lan party game... have some players fly escort for a bomber while other's try to shoot 'em down.
Damage modeling and detail is also fantastic... and the engine is still quite versatile and looks quite good by today's standards.
I didn't buy an X52 system for nothing

It isn't probably the most realistic, because it isn't close. But I must say, it is damn fun.

Try the LA5N... Back when I played competitively, I found it to be a forgiving plane with good dog fighting characteristics.
The 360 demo is awesome, but it's too bright :(
Also, make sure you guys get the AAA mod. New version is out, I believe. 1.1, I think?
Also, what happened to the old thread? It had configs that made everything look better and some texture mods.

I remember someone made an awesome smoke/fire texture replace which i still use to this day, problem is i don't know who it was.

The LA is the most overpowered plane in the game, almost half the people in multiplayer use it (and it makes public MP annoying). Once you learn flying change to some other plane.

We played yesterday, there were 4 guys at the time I left and went off to sleep. That's when I took the pic.
