it's a bit hard to zero in on targets because I'm not used to pedal-rudders though.
Brain, how is it? How was the price? Mine just arrived today, got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, not extremely happy with the price, £26.99. I haven't tried it yet, just about to.
Pissed off cause 5 minutes after I bought it on Amazon, a listing on EBay came up for £14.99 Brand New...Oh well.
It's great, it's a must if your a sim-geek like myself! I paid 1400 NOK, which is £150. It's alot, but I think it was worth it, been playing flight sim and IL2 for about 6 hours now! (Just found out, felt like max 2 hours :v: )
As I said, it's just great! It's fun to do torpedo runs on crimea against those boats and to dogfight.
I use the black lever for throttle, blue for flaps and not using the red one.
In FSX and FS9 I set it up correctly (Red being mixture and blue prop pitch).
on a scale from 0-10, I would say 9,6. Only downside is that there isn't any more to the display than stopwatch and clock.
Can I get some tips on good Joysticks? I could use a new one since mine is now 6 or 7 years old.

I would suggest that one too, I wanted to get that one, but then my grandma' gave me more cash and I bought the X52 instead.
I wouldn't mind having a throttle contol all on its own. I don't really like the little flap. Doesn't seem accurate enough to me. It'd feel cooler if we had our own throttle stick or whatever it's called.
But all in all, it's pretty awesome. Does it have force feedback?

I find the throttle to be more than accurate enough actually.

No force feedback, sorry mate. Honestly, it's not as good as I thought it would be. It gets the job done, but it feels awkward. Nonetheless, it gets the job done. The twist feature does tend to be used when I don't want it to, so I end up having to make lots of little adjustments to keep on a straight track, but I usually focus on the instrument so it's a lot easier.
I'd say go for a cheaper one. It's not worth the £26.99 price tag. That, or get it on ebay. Some guy is selling it for £14.99 which I think is definitely worth it.

What server do you guys play on? I was on 64.231.72.171:21000 and it wasn't that busy. Max of 4 people on at any given time.

I always found flight simulator boring, especially the 2004 one. That's probably because the aspect of it was boring for me whereas this game gives you tasks and shooting one another which gives me some interest.
I also own a 360 controller, how does this fair in the game?
