Run the IL2VersionSwitcher and change it to 4.08 Mod. Then run IL2 again, and you should be able to join the server with the added AAA planes
If you guys encounter any problems with the server/players/Ventrilo contact me through Steam rather than posting on Facepunch about those problems. It is both a quicker method for the reporter and myself because the information is expressed faster and it won't take as much participation on my part. Though I do check this thread often, the pop-ups that steam makes when I receive a new message are infinitely more effective than a post that I would not even know existed.

I'm getting so pissed at Orkel because I don't have a joystick and can't shoot him when we're going headon. I make these jerky movements and then when I die, I just ragequit.

Then don't go head to head with Orkel, it's your own fault you raged.
And joystick won't fix everything, Orkel is just really really good. And I think alot of people here have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, dunno if they still make them but logitech makes good cheap ones

A joystick will fix a lot of things. With a keyboard I can't turn or gain altitude in increments and instead the movements are really jerky.

I use the Extreme 3D Pro and it works very well indeed.
To those wondering who I truly am (hehe), I am 2nd47. This is also my Steam Community name and the name I use on almost everything (Facepunch excluded). At the moment I am the only person able to control the IL-2 server and the Ventrilo directly. If you are having problems then contact me. If you contact someone else you will be doing nothing more than forwarding your request and making them do your work for you :P
On a second note, even if I am set as Away or Busy continue to forward me your request and I will get to it whenever possible.

I like the maneuverability of the Lerche but it holds almost no ammo and landing is damn near impossible.

Turns out landing is easy if people let you and if you turn on the airbrakes

1.1 is fine. But if you really want 1.2 you can go ahead and install it but only if you have 1.1 first, as it requires it.
