Damnit. I was going to get STALKER Clear Sky, but since my computer is being a fuck face and my DVD copy of the game wont install, i just dropped the 10 on the Steam version.
Awesome. Stupid steam version is being a pain in the ass.
Well I'm back from my 7 day warez ban, and have been lurking a bit. Did I miss anything important?

Damn, I just got my joystick and the servers down. Any news on when it'll be back?
Made me a Freetrack light thing, It's pretty neat. haven't actually got a chance too use it in combat yet though.
i cba looking through 34 pages of this thread. I just bought this game on steam, and there is no option to run at my resolution (1920 x 1080) nor to enable anti-aliasing or af any help?
You have to run it in your global menu of your graphics card. You will also have to set your resolution in the conf.ini

I want to make my own skins but I don't know where the files are located. I've looked online but there's only loads of skins, nothing on how to make them. [editline]03:53AM[/editline] doesn't help that the skins don't even have readmes to tell where to put them
The server should have been up approx. 1 hour ago, had to do a hard restart and my computer decided to switch video output slots on me, took me a whole half hour figuring out that problem then I just spent almost two hours setting up a fucking printer just to get it to go from one network to the other.
Isht Icht haven mods to make the game more "modern"?
No, although there are a bit of experimental jets in this game,
i can connect to the server but after that nothing happens, it's at the "mission loading" screen but there's nothing loading
i can connect to the server but after that nothing happens, it's at the "mission loading" screen but there's nothing loading
The server happens to be down right now. It's been down for a WHILE actually. Nevermind that motherfucker put it up while I was asleep. Nevermind it's down AGAIN.

You mean like one of those TrackIR thingies?
So, question. When you guys modded Il-2 did you copy the folder? I made a backup of mine and it won't run. The original works just fine, but i'm not sure what i need to do to get the copied folder to run. I may just keep it as a backup. I really wish my DVD of this game had just worked. The Steam version is turning out to be a pain in the ass.
Wait, what are you trying to do?
I've got the Steam version, and i copied the entire folder, so i could just patch the Steam version and have that for servers that don't allow mods, but i could still keep it up to date. So for all intents and purposes, it would be a vanilla version of the game, plus needed patches. Then i wanted to make a separate copy that would have the AAA mod installed so that i can play with people using that mod, and because i just enjoyed modding the game. I just couldn't get my copied folder of the Steam version to run.
Oh hey cool, Birds of prey is out for PC. :aaaaa:
Oh hey cool, Birds of prey is out for PC. :aaaaa:
That game looks really freaking good, I might just have to buy it. Also, the server is always up. Whether or not my internet connection is, that's a different story. Try to connect after 5-10 minutes if you couldn't connect the first time.
Why did you copy it? Even if you do have the mod you can still play on unmodded servers.
I hate arcade air combat games.
Wings of Prey is arcadey? I patched the main copy to 4.09m to play on vanilla servers and then I installed AAA UI 1.1 on my other install. Ran the version changer and started playing on my server.
Wings of Prey was IL-2 for consoles then ported to PC. It's practically IL-2's cousin. [editline]02:46PM[/editline] Demo here. http://www.gamershell.com/news_89038.html
