I'm really thinking of getting Wings of Prey, the demo is quite fun. Tad expensive though. I would definitely get it if it was £20 or so.
I bought Wings of Prey today. I'm really enjoying it, but only playing it on "Realistic" and not "Simulator".
I can't seem to get my joystick to work in this game. I have a Logitech Attack 3. Anyone know a solution?
It seems to be working fine in aces high and is calibrated correctly.

That's really weird. I have the exact same model and it works perfectly fine in IL2. Not sure what to tell you. Did you download the calibrator from the website?

I lost my copy of '46 and instead of repurchasing it on steam it might just be more worth it to get Wings of Prey.
I'd go with buying 1946. Like I said on post 1380, "I mean, it's great but not really groundbreaking. Sure it has great graphics but when Storm of War comes out, it will surpass it in many ways."

Yeah. I took a look, and although graphically it is impressive it doesn't really offer much more in terms of gameplay over IL2. I'll probably repurchase '46 in the next few days.
Also is SoW still in production? I haven't heard much of it, and with Wings of Prey out what fate does SoW have?
What's you guys' favorite planes? Mine's the Spitfire (or Yak-7 for being impossible to stall and incredibly accurate) - but I see a lot of people using BF-109s.

The trusty A6M Zero :smug:
Has no armor at all and is slower than average, but my god the maneuverability. Nothing can beat that thing in a turn fight or anything involving close combat unless the other plane comes head on or dives from above.
Yeah the Zero, but the best plane of all is the Hs-129

I love the Zero. The late war models are so crazy awesome.
Except for the fact that a single shot seems to make your plane burst into a gigantic ball of fire.

But that fact makes your survival instinct go up and hopefully make you better at flying :v:
I've not had a Zero suddenly combust from gunfire, I've only had the slightest tap from a low caliber machine gun fuck up my pilot.
