So I was in this Tempest, flying backup for a cuple of B29's. Then we got intercepted by 3 P-36's. I instantly shot one down, and engaged in a personal dogfight with second at an altitude of 5000m.
When the dogfight ended with me shooting his wing wide apart, I was flying at 250m over our airfield with my fueltanks last contents leaking out rapidly. After I landed I started to investigate why my plane had so piss-poor performance during the end of my dogfight. I realised that I had forgotten about the supercharger settings.
I had also forgotten about the b-29's.

I just downloaded the J7W1 mod and I have to tell you, it's absolutely terrific as an interceptor with it's amazing climb rate and 4x30mm cannons and as an fighter with it's tight tunring circle and good manouverability.
It's amazing, the balance of the plane feels different, too!

I bought it only to receive a message back from ubisoft saying it wasn't compatible with W7.
When I run it in steam, it starts up, closes, starts up, closes, over and over again :saddowns:
I have Windows 7 64 bit and it works fine.
I bought this game to my dad last X-mas.
I haven't seen him play it yet. :'(

If anyone still plays this, I found an awesome mod that is AAA with the same planes and more, new cockpits, textures, etc. It's worth the whopping 3GB download. It even works with 4.09m.

People also need to get UltraP@ck 2.0n and 2.01. It adds a variety of servers to your selection, and has made the game much better.
