Might be the plane you're flying. If its not fuel injected and you tip it upside down or pull negative Gs then sometimes they stall because you stop the fuel flowing properly.
I'm not entirely sure what I was flying to be honest, I just hit Quick mission builder and selected something at random

i convinced demonguard to play and i've been hosting a temporary lan-over-hamachi server because we couldn't find any servers that were simply running 4.09a or whatever the steam version is
works flawlessly other than the fact that there aren't any good maps and i don't know how to get a map that's basic and simple. and you need to change an option in an ini file to play but that's seriously not a big deal
i remember that the fp il2 server used to run on a tiny map with close spawns that was really cool.

i'm trying to replicate that map and it's literally impossible, you can't make spawnpoints in the air or change them from the two default positions on the maps
With the risk of sounding like a begging bastard, is anyone willing to gift me IL-2 on Steam? Wouldn't be surprised if no one does, but heck, it's worth a shot... Right? I'd be forever grateful to whoever gifts it to me, for what it's worth.

The map was "net/dogfight/pacific fighters/05.mis", it's the Iwo Jima map without the naval spawns. As well, use "DIFFICULTY RealisticLandings 0" to spawn in the air.
If you guys ever want to play IL2 again just get me on Steam and I'll put the server up. Been meaning to play for a while now.

i'm up for hosting, join the hamachi network "facepunch il2" with the password "duckmeat" and message me on hamachi or steam or something to get my attention if anyone wants the server to go up, since it's only a listen server.
my router has firmware issues so i can't host a real server, so this will do.

I'll definitely play tomorrow (I'll redownload IL2 overnight due to a corrupted AAA install, as well as HSFX4)
HSFX even starts up faster than AAA.
Will most likely get HSFX within a few days, expect server update :o!
What patch is the server running Hell? Also any one have the link to the torrent of AAA? There site is down.
Jesus CHRIST I hate the way AAA organises their website, I can't SEE shit, DO shit, or even PLAY shit, because the downloads are really huge and take hours and hours to install, and I'm just installing it for one plane.

I know how to use my flaps and landing gear to help slow me down to land, hell i'll even do some controlled stalls. Is there seriously no other way to slow down?
I find crashing into the floor generally brings your speed down quite rapidly
