You serious? A pilot snapped off the entire wing off a bomber?
Figure a crewmember with his parachute and survival gear in 1945 must weigh around 200lbs, falling through the air at 200kph...that is an awful lot of direct force and inertia to smash into an aluminum sheet
Even if he didnt rip the wing off right away, I'm guessing the dent he'd make would severely fuck up the aircrafts flight capabilities.
I keep trying to connect with a server on hyperlobby and on EVERY server I get Connection Succeeded then it freezes and says Communication with remote host failed: Timed Out. Help?
I didn't realise "Wings of Prey" on Steam was the sequel. I wish they'd put IL-2 Sturmovich before it, I almost completely missed it. The DRM is tough to deal with at first but the game is worth it.
It's not a true sequel. Battle of Britain is.

What color and how many bars does the server show in the HyperLobby client?
What color and how many bars does the server show in the HyperLobby client?
full bars and green but I tried different servers with diff bars.
Anyone know why I get low fps? I used to run at max on my old graphics card, now I have a whole lot better and I get like 20 fps.
I've heard ATI cards don't really support a water detail level greater than 2. Could that be your problem?
Never had a problem with that Snuffy. I have heard problems with newer ATi Cards though. Not exactly sure what the cause was, but I've heard it.

Nvidea.

And I think I fixed the FPS by switching video drivers from directx to opengl, but the multiplayer thing still fucks up,
Anyone?
I've been running with DirectX since i got it and haven't tried OpenGL, is there any major difference?
DirectX works the best for me in most games so i just took it for IL-2 aswell.

Well I got my FPS raised by like 50, no diff in the look either. Anyone know how to fix my MP issue?
I got a strange problem... after watching the tutorials (in game) I thought i'd be ready for a first mission. But when i start, all textures are fucked up badly, making me not able to see anything (the propeller was a bunch of squares rotating.
Picture, I would love to see that.

When ill try it again, not in the mood to test it now. But try to imagine the landscape, clouds and plane dark grey coloured (with lighter spots) with purple and green.
Sounds like a graphic card issue. Whatcha got?
Nevermind, just changed the video mode to directX, works perfect now.
I just need a joystick, controlling a plane without is fucking hard.
edit:
just bought the Logitech Attack3, gonna test it now.
Does anyone know of a plane that can use the R4M missiles but has a propeller and not a jet?
Anyone wanna help me blast Rapperkid down?

I'm guessing it's probably for compatibility purposes(if one doesn't work, use the other).

The R4Ms were experimental, and so they fall under the what if 1946 scenario...
But technically the Lerche is a propeller plane...

Well, OpenGL made my game look as if it was on crack.
This game is fucking fun. Playing with the keyboard isn't bad at all.

"taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap OH FOR FUCKS SAKE I STALLED"
Yeah If you're bad at the game maybe, I play with keyboard and I almost never stall unless I'm doing something incredibly dumb.
"taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap OH FOR FUCKS SAKE I STALLED"
I even stall with the joystick :v: I suck quite badly at this game( luckily, you can turn of things like stall).
Can i maybe make the plane react less strong on the joystick? Because i have a bit of trouble trying to aim for a plane while being a bit in a hurry.
IL-2 is the most popular WW2-themed flat spin simulator...
I have 1946 ( + ultra pack) - can we setup a meet?
By the way does anyone know how the hell you brake the plane when landing, because it never says something like "Brakes enabled", and I never seem to see any effect when I try to use it.
I know what I'm gonna get now.

It's b or something but if you hit it to hard you will end up with your propeller in the dirt.
