Hah, finally got the game looking really fucking sexy. Can't wait to play online with my sexy graphics!
What are your settings?
What are some mandatory triggers/keys/accessories/etc for joysticks if I'm going to use it for flight games? I haven't owned a joystick in a very long time and that was to play Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance. I'll probably check out radioshack tommorow and see if they have any. But otherwise, anyone got some online ones recommended? I'm looking for something lowish price but gets the job done.
Exactly what Snuffy posted, except I changed it to my resolution.

I use the Attack3. $20 and has lasted me for about 7 months. A lot of people complain about it breaking, but mine hasn't yet, and even then it was only $20 so I wouldn't really mind.
Heh, I was actually looking at that one online.
Eh, nevermind, no way that could be right
Oh yeah definitely. It was so much more immersive. I actually felt the tension of having a fighter behind me.
Next server needs the same setup.
Now all that's left to find are some decent planes with rear view mirrors.
Here's to hoping the P51 has it.
Spitfire with HSFX does, doesn't it? Oh what you said decent dohohoho.

Cool, looked it up. Theres actually one available in a bestbuy near my house.
Ever tried flying IL2 with a yoke? Or any fighter plane game with a yoke?
It's an .... experience on its own. I actually prefer yoke over joystick when it comes right down to it. Does get awkward sometimes, but it's fun!

Added you on steam, because I saw that you're friends with casbert
Wow, that was fun yesterday. Realistic mode on Iwo Jima made for some intense dogfighting. I love the B25 with it's massive frontal machineguns and it's ability to mount rockets.
Then again the Me-262 fictional version is so good, if you can manage the engine not to combust. I got shot in one engine, fired extinguishers, shut it down and then boosted the power on the last engine to make a ramming effort on a bomber.
I also used the Komet to clip the wings off that Go-jet / primitive stealth fighter :buddy:

After I tried it with my Saitek Pro flight, I instantly bought a joystick. I'll probably be selling my yoke on Ebay soon if anybody wants it.

It's a hit and miss thing probably
I used to go with the X52 (Still use it for the Ka-50 simulator, and occasional flying of choppers in FSX), but ever since I got the yoke, it's all I use!
I've got an X52, and IL-2. This thread is making me want to go dig up both of the damn things.
I found this on my attic, it used to be the greatest joystick ever and it still is.
Provided you can still find it somewhere to buy, because microsoft dropped support and making these sidewinders a long time ago.
