God, I realy want to buy this game, But im not sure if i should if i dont own a joystick?.. What do you guys think. I love realism, But im not realy up to buy something for a game.. , Or is it realy worth it?.
I played with the keyboard when i first got it. But decided to buy a joystick. Its a lot better with the joystick. You can get a pretty decent one for $5 from walmart or something
Ah shit, I wish I'd been paying attention to the thread the past few days, I'd have been on the server if I'd known it was up. I'll come on tomorrow probably.
Did you consider that i may need it to join games in the future?
No.
I want to test out my Battle of Britain map.
I want to test out my Battle of Britain map.
I'd join.

You might as well buy a joystick anyway as it means you can use it in other games in the future.

It makes this great game even better and easier to fly (since you have full control over the aircraft). It's a much more immersive using a joystick.
Love this game, i usually play Quick Missions with different settings on my Mac (aka iCrap as i usually call it)
Crap? I've got this game running just fine on a low-end Mac (integrated 9400M). Edit:
It's a much more immersive using a joystick.
I'm tempted to buy this, and have read that loads of people are suggesting owning a joystick to play it. Then there are a few people saying its worth it with a keyboard as well. SooooOoOOooOooooo confused right now. £9. Hm.

You should look into that if you don't want to get a keyboard.
Well, you can't really dogfight that well without a joystick, but if you're willing to fly bombers or something that doesn't need a lot of maneuvering then you'll be fine.

In fact, I readily switch between them in combat. Once and a while I'll be bumbling about with my controller and all of a sudden a fighter is on me; I'll switch to my keyboard in a heartbeat just to keep flying.
hostin bros
That was epic.
Is it still up?
That was epic.
I only got to play for 10 minutes... D=

Then if I don't like it, I'll give you half the money back on paypal? ;D
It was great fun. Foxton ran into Edberg and I was flying 1km below and suddenly a plane hit me. Then, I was in a stall and Edberg went to chase some other plane and I fired one round and it hit his cockpit. :v:
And don't forget when you and Edberg were both chasing me but you like shot him while trying to shoot me or something and then flew into him.
Fuck, I missed everything. Fucking host again asshole D=
yeah cmon asshollleee
yeah cmon asshollleee
He went to bed like half an hour ago.. D=
Crap? I've got this game running just fine on a low-end Mac (integrated 9400M).
I'm runnig it on gma x1300 integrated but the Mac itself is crap or iCrap
Can someone help me install hyperlobby?? I go through all the menus and it come to the program folder bit and when i click next to install it says ERROR: File name: Is not Valid
Make sure it's Forgotten Battle.
Make sure it's Forgotten Battle.
Not when I'm joinging a game, it's when I'm installing the acuall hyperlobby
If all else fails, you can alternatively use Xfire to join online servers.
Xfire sucks though, always crashes my games
I installed the Ultrapack 1.7 mod, the 3D Smoke/Tracer mod, and a few other lighting effects. This "old" game really does shine after some modding. Loading up a P-38 with 500LB bombs and rockets, flying to an enemy airbase, and seeing how long you last until getting shot is a lot of fun. Is anyone playing any campaigns? I just started a USAF campaign, it's pretty hard. The enemy plays always trick me. One will go slow, to make it seem like I can shoot him down easily, but his wingman will fly behind me and hit me before I could even take a shot.
