Speaking of which, is there MP in A-10? I know Black Shark had it, but I'm curious because it'd be fucking awesome. Hell who cares if the A-10 isn't a dogfighting plane, imagine tearing people apart with that cannon.
yes.
I wonder... How likely would it be if you could easily transfer from DCS into an actual military simulator (e.g. giant steel machine that you get trained with) then getting an air officer rank shouldn't be very difficulty to achieve. Hell, I'd place a man in the Captain's slot if he knew how to fly every major Russian and American fighter, helicopter, and any ground attack aircraft in general.
yes.
is the current beta compatible with bs/fc2? be cool if it was although i would understand if they didnt make it compatible until the proper release

if i post a black shark track later will someone be able to tell me what im doing wrong?
You do realize flying stuff is only part of the training?
No shit, let's all walk into the recruitment office and put down a video game as a credential. I'm referring to a practical test when you've been put into a simulator.
is the current beta compatible with bs/fc2? be cool if it was although i would understand if they didnt make it compatible until the proper release
as far as I know, no. The map A-10C uses is an expanded one from BS and FC2 I haven't read anything about it being compatible, but from when I was looking at the installer, I'd imagine at best it might end up being Black Shark compatible.

i found this Q: Will DCS: A-10C Warthog be online-compatible with DCS: Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2? A: We hope to be able to release a compatibility patch for DCS: Black Shark after release. This would give Black Shark all the features of A-10C, except the flyable A-10C. Compatibility with FC2 is unlikely. hopefully you will be able to add extra flyable aircraft to a10 like with fc2 even if they are not simulated to the same degree anyone take a look at this BS track, fast forward about 15-20 minutes once im in a stable hover i lock up a target and i think have weapons armed but a vikhr wont release
Really?
Yes.
Yes.
Was more of a rhetoric question, pointing to your other quote. :v:
Was more of a rhetoric question, pointing to your other quote. :v:
Yes. I answer statements, too.
After tinkering around with mods, my planes wont even scratched if I even crash into the ground. I uninstalled all of the mods and vulnerability is on, what gives?
If you say that the game has a smaller learning curve than Black Shark, then it must be piss easy. Took about 2 days of learning to skillfully fly the Ka-50. Another 2 to learn how to shoot.
is the a-10c ils landing training broke? more specifically the cockpit dial to tune the .xx part of the ils frequency?

Another 2 to learn how to shoot.
Well consider the fact that the Blackshark is ridiculously advanced, and the game recreates it entirely. This game has over 200 flyable planes so it's much more simplistic when it comes down to each plane's systems, but it's not very difficult. Most people are just new to simulation games and pick up IL-2 as their first flight sim because it's so cheap and a ton of people play it. So they think it's hard, but it's not hard in the slightest.
After tinkering around with mods, my planes wont even scratched if I even crash into the ground. I uninstalled all of the mods and vulnerability is on, what gives?
Realistic Takeoff/landing, I believe it is. It might be realistic crashing too, take a look around.
is the a-10c ils landing training broke? more specifically the cockpit dial to tune the .xx part of the ils frequency?
ehh i didn't get that far in to the landing training -- most of the essentials on what you need to know are said and done right near the beginning (finding a port and radioing in the tower).
If you say that the game has a smaller learning curve than Black Shark, then it must be piss easy. Took about 2 days of learning to skillfully fly the Ka-50. Another 2 to learn how to shoot.
that sounds about right. the problem is obviously learning the computer systems. it's way different, but it also feels way more simplistic -- once you learn the abbreviations for everything it isn't so bad. on another note, this USAAF pearl habor fighter mission is HILARIOUS -- wow seriously, 5 fighters versus the entire japanese airforce? really? really? it's like a shooting gallery. i LOVE IT
This game has aged well, I can't stand Flight sims of jets with heat seeking missiles. To me it takes most of the challenge of flying away.
i have IL2... but i still have no joystick :smith:
I've got an old joystick, I may dust it off and get this game.
My friend is getting a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for his birthday, I may ask him if I can take his old Cyborg 2000 off his hands :smug:
were playing il2 apparently
We're game! IP:78.69.11.67:21000 [editline]16th January 2011[/editline] not enough people, game tomorrow
maybe that's because the server won't let anybody in and you've locked yourself into your vent server so nobody can talk to you
maybe that's because the server won't let anybody in and you've locked yourself into your vent server so nobody can talk to you
the game server is profans the vent server isnt locked what the fuck are you smoking
What, everyone can join Prof's server, and the vent info has been plastered around everywhere.
the server gives me an unknown error when i try to join it, and i tried to join the vent and ask what was up and everyone was in a passworded channel, and nobody moved me up or talked to me so i left after lie 10 minutes
What, everyone can join Prof's server, and the vent info has been plastered around everywhere.
Cheesemonkey is confusing.
