Why is the new IL-2 being reported as "announced" now when it's been known about since mid-2007 (or even earlier probably).

Note the date of that video. How are the current goings-on an "announcement"? It's already been announced, it's just a few details being released.
Did the definition of "announce" change overnight?
They like to announce things repeatedly in the hopes that the gaming press forgot about the earlier announcements.
Whenever I'm playing online with my friends, they can't see my custom skins and I can't see theirs. We have the skins enabled, so could anybody please point us in the right direction? :shobon:

there's a lot of high quality texture mods; some for the ground, some for clouds and particles and others for interiors etc
hsfx comes with a lot of assorted mods with its loader, such as high res ground, clouds and interiors mentioned above

I love IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and it makes the game 10x better!
Does anyone know if Cliffs of Dover will have DX9 support? I hope, I'm still running XP until I can afford my next PC.

It's very easy to get it to support your resolution, go into the conf.ini and change the width and height sections at the top of the window category to your resolution's. Works for me at a 1280 x 1024 resolution :wink:.
