who here has A-10C? its fucking incredible once you start blowing stuff up, in one flight i killed two trucks with the gau-8, got direct hits on a truck's with a gbu-12 and gbu-38 destroyed a bridge with a gbu-38 i was about to destroy some tanks but flew too close and there protective aa shot my wing off, that was just a flight to get used to the LITENING II, at first its harder to use than you would expect especially at lower altitudes. i havnt really played that much, it took me a lot longer to get used to black shark, anyone fancy playing online sometime?

You can set up the profile to be "immortal" and it will log your deaths, but I don't do this and leave myself to be mortal. 69105 had been shot down well over four times, and had crashed more than about twenty with only scrapes and bruises. One day he was doing a free flight during a bad storm at 3:00 AM (the middle of the night). He starts up in the ramp as normal and makes it to the runway. He throttles up to 80% engine power, unlocks his brakes and starts moving up the ramp. His engine power is pushed to 100% and at 120 mph he turns off nosewheel steering. At the same time a big blast of air sends his aircraft rocking to the left, sending it spiraling off of the runway and on to its back. The cockpit glass is smashed in to the ground and 69105's head is crushed in to the soil: death upon impact. Minutes later, a new pilot, Fagbasher, was brought in to duty. and i still have no idea how to use mavericks/use flares haha anyway YES. we have to play.
i worked out how to use countermeasures today had to map a few new controls, its such a bodge getting everything onto a x52 im just going to get a tm warthog and some pedals, will be expensive but worth it in the end. having a accurate representation of the a10 controls plus its other features like how the sim reads the switch positions when starting up and sets up the in game switches the same is worth the money [editline]2nd March 2011[/editline] mav's work like any other guided ordinance, i havnt run the training track so i dont know if you can target them with the targeting pod i hope so as there camera sucks and its really hard to see what your aiming at with them [editline]2nd March 2011[/editline] this is my biggest takeoff fail [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlNWhFm5UVI&hd=1[/hd] i just set my profile to invulnerable, its inevitable your going to die and its not like its real life, i crashed about 10 times today practising low level gun/rocket attacks, kind of a cheap excuse but half of them were because i couldnt be bothered to turn on trackir and if you have the camera zoomed right in during a gun run its very easy to plow into the ground
I've had that happen while taking off before the trick is emergency brakes.
bahh I wish AAA was still around, I can't fly ~great classics~ such as the H8K1 and ME-323.

Still learning the systems but me and a friend have flown a night training mission and used Maverick missles and Cluster bombs to great effect. All I really need to learn now is how to use countermeasures properly and also just get really familiar and comfortable with my profile.
bahh I wish AAA was still around, I can't fly ~great classics~ such as the H8K1 and ME-323.
You can with HFSX or whatever the acronym was.
for anyone who is thinking of buying logitech force 3d pro, i dont really recommend. The force feedback feels like gravel, you cant move the joystick just a littlebit. it feels like a lever switch.
We need to make a DCS: A-10 thread. I completely did not know it went retail till I read it today. I've been playing beta 5 forever. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
for anyone who is thinking of buying logitech force 3d pro, i dont really recommend. Well I'm about to head out and buy a Saitek X52. Can't wait to come back and try that sucker. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] We need a game going.

If you are getting an X52, get the X52 pro. normal X52 has a LED flashing problem which cripples the system.
If you are getting an X52, get the X52 pro. normal X52 has a LED flashing problem which cripples the system.
Wait, what do you actually mean by that?
Wait, what do you actually mean by that?
the leds, they cripple the system
the leds, they cripple the system
oh haha, ok I literally thought he meant the LEDs led to failure. and yeah I'm worried about that, the fact the LEDs are going to blind me while playing or worse, the embarrassment
Wait, what do you actually mean by that?
Its some kind of software bug which causes the LED screens on controller to basically "blue screen" which renders the whole joystick + throttles useless, as in, you can't use them until you restart. X52 pro doesn't have this problem.
Just noticed this thread and now I have this fuckterrible urge to install the game along with the Dynamic Campaign Generator, play germany, and play the campaing from the beginning to the end of the war. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] Unless there's a preset for that
I have the Extreme 3D pro, great joystick for people on a low budget, don't know about the force feedback version though.
The only decent force feedback joystick I've ever seen is the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2.
Theres a DCG for this game?

It should fall under warranty. Also I'm pretty sure there is a fix for it, but I can't find it in google. From what I could find, its mainly a power issue and in some cases a driver issue.
Oh wow this stick is loose. It can't even support it's own weight. Slightly disappointed with that, but we'll have to see how it plays.
Anyone got any recommendations for joysticks? I've been playing this with a keyboard for years, but i'm wondering if it's any better with a proper joystick. Also, how can you bypass the aircraft restrictions on maps? I've seen videos of people landing TB3s on the aircraft carriers on that pacific map before.

With your second question however, you use the full mission builder, here is a great website with a series of tutorials for it .
We need to get a game going. I'm itching to kill some people.
Fucking piece of shit Logitech Attack 3 and its manufactured faults. Gotta buy a better joystick, suggestions? (implying that everything else wouldn't be better than this anyway)
