But Ubisoft had nothing to do with the development of this game other than the epilepsy policy which they gave up on.
Guaranteed they set a release date the company had to make, even if the game wasn't ready. Also they paid to make the damned game, if they gave a shit budget then the development team suffers.
They have A LOT to do with the game. Tell me EA had nothing to do with, say, the way Spore came out?
Record number of people having seizures from playing the game than any other game released I heard.
Those statistics were probably released some time before Beat Hazard came out.
I'm looking forward to playing Cliffs in a few months once the kinks are ironed out. I'm confident it'll happen, but I've got a game backlog I need to get through first.

this isn't fair.
TWO WEEKS
Apparently there was a patch yesterday that was supposed to improve performance? I guess it didn't work.
Well I've never really liked Ubisoft, kinda shows the state of the gaming industry when games don't even run at release.
The patch is released today actually.

Well look at the bright side:
The game might actually be playable when it's released over there. :v:

ahaha yeah don't you know russia is like the guinea pig of halfassed/unfished game releases
Someone needs to hit me up with more videos of them playing Cliffs of Dover. Even if the framerate gets bad, I NEED MY FIX.
Also, to stave me off, I was trying to play Wings of Prey. Why did they have to code the AI to be so brutal? Playing on anything other than arcade just gives you a massive handicap, while they can fly around in massive high g turns and never stall, you have to delicately baby your plane everywhere, and if you get hit once, your plane will run out of fuel before you can even finish the mission. And don't even get me started on how all the enemy planes decide that you are the only target worth going after, and everytime you spawn, you immediately have the entire enemy wing going after you. And then to pour more salt onto the wound, even calling for AI friendly plane backup is completely pointless. You could spend 10 minutes of flying close to the ground, and your wingmen still wouldn't be able to shoot down your pursuer(s).

I wouldn't say it's playing as a Slideshow for me, but a patch could definitely help right now.
You just have to turn off or put the ground details on low.

THANK GOD! I only have WoP and LOMAC as sims right now, so I thought my flying sucked whenever I went into sim mode in WoP because I could never shoot down anything.

yeah. it's the biggest chore in the planet and it's ESPECIALLY worse because it takes like 40 cannon hits to actually do any damage to the enemy. in IL-2 you can take out like four bombers in one swoop if you get lucky and being lucky in WOP is being able to take out at least one bomber's engines/wings and hoping to god it might actually not kill you

Mid-air prostitution?
I trust Valve a lot more to make a good game than I do Ubisoft.
After the SH5 fiasco, "Ubisoft" and "trust" have become mutually exclusive.
On a moderately lighter note, my dad has urged me to buy CoD (that's sure gonna get confusing) using his money because our entire family likes the whole Flight sim genre.
Is it just me or is there a real lack of options when it comes to setting up a quick mission. I can't even seem to change the insignia on my aircraft so I'm left with a 109 with British Roundels...
All these options are available on the actual "Model Viewer", but I can't seem to find them come setting up a mission.
For those who don't have it, it seems you're not missing much. I got mine and it won't even load the menu, the game seems to be riddled with bugs and Oleg the creator said it wasn't finished but UBI decided to force it out anyway.
Steam trolled me. I started up steam and got the "This game is now available" for CoD even tho it isn't in NA.

You can activate it on Steam though if you have a key. You just can't buy it until 19th.

Interesting.
Interesting.
Very interesting indeed. Time to find a key retailer.
I didn't actually try it, I just read it on some forum, probably 1C, so don't go blamin' on me if it doesn't work :v:

Yeah, looks like I wasted my money
Exact same shit I get.
Think I'm gunna wait a couple days before dropping money on Cliffs of Dover, see what reviewers make of it.
Actually, while I'm here, anyone got some simulator profiles (LOMAC, Sturmovik) for the Logitech G940? Don't wanna have to configure every fucking button.

"For real hardcore simmers there will be a way to tune and fix your plane's engine with a «screwdriver». Now it is even more realistic than in a real life where there were technicians for that."
super real?

I'm willing to try it just to see how it is and make fun of the people who think that it's a sim when they made the shitty IL2.
So what's Cliffs of Dover like?
Yeah, what's it like? I need a consumer's opinion before actually buying or not buying it.
The core game itself is brilliant, and it has huge potentional.
Right now though it suffers from some really bad optimization, but they have already started working on fixing this. It could take anywhere form a week to a year. I suggest you don't buy the game yet, so you don't end up having a horrible first impression.
I guess I'll leave it for a bit then
Give the game a few months or more before you buy it. So much potential but yet another game with a dissapointing release.
I'm thinking of going back and trying Rise of flight again, that was the same shit - was buggy and shit on release, might be okay now though - trouble is I can't find how to re-download the game I bought
