they get played so much in pubs its ridiculous
How about some totally ridiculous teams, like Nyx, Riki, BH, Brood and Weaver?
Or Drow, Clinkz, Viper, Sniper, Weaver? Or Furion, Naix, Wisp, Tinker, SB? Something similar. Seeing all those Wombo Combo teamfight teams gets boring.

You could add a little thing to the OP Sprite, namely some form of a segregation list with names of forum users + their steam name + their timezone
This way, when someone posts about wanting to make an inhouse for given hour, he can expect how many people/who 'll respond to it , for example if there is ample supply of people of given timezone or next to it, or decide not to make it given how few people are in specific timezone.
Something like this :

Basically people could post here this info (Name/Steam name/Timezone), maybe add stuff like their avaliable hours (in given timezone) and you'd update the OP with this, making thread a little bit clearer.
+I think a form for making an inhouse is a good idea, just so people have visual indication of what to search for over the pages if they are looking for actual inhouse.
Something along the lines of :
