But do you do the crafting in your inventory or is there a separate menu?
But do you do the crafting in your inventory or is there a separate menu?
Ah. My apologies. There's a separate set of boxes below the inventory. Just left click an item and right click a crafting box to move it there. Left click the green box to craft.

I found this game a great gem, far more appealing to me than Minecraft because of the seemingly endless list of combinations, and that fact that you never really know what will combine in a recipe, which gives you that odd yet profound moment where you make something completely new. I can see myself losing weeks to this game.

In fact, that kind of motivates me to put in so many crafting recipes that they stop being hard to find and start being hard to keep track of.
Trampolines? Awesome.
Trampolines? Awesome.
I can never find enough cotton plants :saddowns:
I can never find enough cotton plants :saddowns:
That occurred to me. For that reason, you can make a hoe to till the soil, which will allow plants to spread to it. I explained the process in an earlier blog post. http://brickology.tumblr.com/post/1113652424/so-much-for-andale
Just a little encouragement. This game is great. Though I find myself looking at the recipe files a tiny bit. But the fact that the recipes are such simple files makes this look like a goldmine for user content.
Need an option to change move keys and a skybox.
Need an option to change move keys and a skybox.
Just got my laptop back up, so I'll do that next. Still don't know how to go about skybox. An infinite skyplane would just contrast with the lack of an infinite ground.
Does it have a leaf blower?
Just got my laptop back up, so I'll do that next. Still don't know how to go about skybox.
An infinite plane of sea or land usually works well with a skybox, depends on the theme you're going for.
Eh. Then you would be on the only area of rough/varied terrain in an infinite space. It would look weird. And there's no water, so a sea won't work either.
Then draw the level curved using a shader.
Or use some fog like in deer hunter 2005.
Then draw the level curved using a shader.
What if I made levels wrap on themselves and had a skyplane?
Your game does not work for me. It loads and then just sits there doing nothing. Okay, got it to work. Seems decent, but it doesn't offer much to keep me interested currently.
Oh no... mamamia!
Did you replace a texture or make a new block? At any rate, you might find the PlayerHitHead event useful. Args are x, y, and z.
http://www.mediafire.com/?1xabhsm6m5929lb This is an odd update. There’s no real content, and the changes really just boil down to two things: The world now has a sky. This has been made possible by two things: One, the world is wrapped on itself. Walking off the edge will bring you to the other. The other is that the very bottom ground can not be removed by right clicking. The sky is very primitive, yes, but it’s better than nothing, no? Oh, and there’s some simple fog, to add to the illusion. Also, keybinds! You can rebind movement, opening the inventory, jumping, and restarting the game. The changes will even save! Currently all letters, numbers, and arrow keys are supported. You can access the changes by clicking ‘Set Keybinds’ in the escape menu. Oh, and I made a simple readme file. Enjoy! One last note: The terrain generation will look kinda wonky at edges now. I’m working on making it wrap more smoothly.
I can has pat on back?
I can has pat on back?
You can have two.
three! [editline]06:51PM[/editline] wait no, fuck you! it screwed up my computer! [editline]06:52PM[/editline] nevermind it fixed its self
I noticed after the last post that I broke new games. Or, at least, I did for me. I fixed it, at any rate. And even put in the framework for portals and maybe composite items! :D http://www.mediafire.com/?w743mv92h7pj39b
Whoops.
Whoops.
Hey so, I cannot play this at all. When I run the game, it decides to run on my secondary monitor, and no matter what i click or press, it does nothing. I just see the menu, and scrolling background thing... I'm on Win7 x64
I prefer the "low" graphics setting, it feels smoother somehow, than the higher ones, as much as it is like infiniminer/minecraft right now, it seems to have a bright future.

Will a windowed mode suit your needs? [editline]03:04AM[/editline]
I prefer the "low" graphics setting, it feels smoother somehow, than the higher ones, as much as it is like infiniminer/minecraft right now, it seems to have a bright future.
Thank you for that. The smoothness of the lower settings might be from the lack of black borders, which the medium setting still has, partially. When I make the game look less 'flat' I'll probably be removing those.
So, the current plan is to make Portals work, but I'd like to hear some suggestions on what I should work on next, feature-wise. Current ideas are simple actors/NPCs in the form of projectiles, and composite items.
Shops
Shops
Ah, yes, I was toying around with the thought of that the other day, and even beyond that, IRE-controlled GUI. But, a simple shop dialog 'template', that I can do.
