Got my download.
I challenge someone to wait until night time falls, and wait in the bedroom closet. The one with the attic door, the empty one. Be very patient. Don't blame me though. You can't get outside of the house if you do this. The front and backyard doors are locked.
Someone for the love of god do this!
I too am also stuck at [sp]the part where the chopper goes down.[/sp] Hint?
Keep your eyes open. The [sp] assassin who fires the RPG [/sp] is the one you're meant to go after, climb on top of the cables/lampposts and get into the apartment.

It's difficult to chase after him and kill him, but you can trigger an explosion in the final stretch that nails him. Fail this and the game just continues anyway.[/sp] Storywise opinion: I personally think [sp]the protagonist will become something like that assassin. Everything seemed kinda realistic until this superspeed bastard burst through the walls. And considering what happened in the gas chamber...[/sp]
Thanks Alex. God damn that was an absolutely fantastic mod! The whole house part of it! That was amazing! I've never played anything like this! It's almost like a small Roleplay game along with being a Psychological Horror and Pseudo-Realistic FPS! It was fantastic! I have never seen anything like it on the source engine! Sadly the only issue with it was the repetitive textures and sometimes empty/blocky mapping (not the train station or mall no, those were fantastic) most of it was on the outside though. [editline]29th March 2011[/editline] A fucking +
I just climbed up into the attic and the girl was waiting for me :smith: I don't think I'm going to continue if it's just finding out the rest of the story in the house.
Does anything actually happen at night? Or the game keeps going as usual ?
Awesome mod. And holy shit I did not expect the ending, thought it all will end in the gas chamber
Running setup.exe 24/7 Error the source file is corrupted.
I really enjoyed this mod. [editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
Running setup.exe 24/7 Error the source file is corrupted.
Try using Desura.

Have anybody else seen this in the toilet room ? [img_thumb]http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/1495/uhhouse00000.jpg[/img_thumb]
I stacked some cardboard boxes and looked in the crawlspace. Theres nothing of interest in there. Maybe it'll have some importance later on, but for now it's just an empty wooden crawlspace.
Finished it in about an hour or two. I can honestly say it's one of the best mods I've ever played, and that I'm highly looking forward for the new additions.

Just found out about the [sp]bedroom closet at midnight[/sp]. :tinfoil: Great mod, so well detailed. Did anyone ever find the battery for the outlet in the shed?
Did anyone ever find the battery for the outlet in the shed?
That'll probably be used later in the mod.
Will Multiplayer be included in this? I'd love to see this mod's great use of aiming against non-AI foes
It's based on SMOD, so I doubt multiplayer would be that easy to make or original enough for them to want to spend the time and energy to make it.
Any news on the next part?
This is amazing, definitely the best HL2 mod i have ever played. Anyone knows how to turn off motion blur? It's not in the options.
I can't get motion blur to turn on in my source games. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] How is SMOD different from GMOD?
I can't get motion blur to turn on in my source games. [editline]27th April 2011[/editline] How is SMOD different from GMOD?
Smod = Super mod Smod was originally made for a bunch of weapons, npcs and addons. Smod's base was easily modable, so people made mods like Tactical and Outbreak. Anyways, what i said is as far as my eyes can see, Ive never modified smod.
Yes, that's pretty much right. I just checked, and there are some versions of SMOD that are multiplayer, but I think the teams would have to do a lot of work to make it a reality.
how the shit do I kill the chopper, the guy says to shoot the chopper pilot and I've emptied like 5 magazines into the bastard and he still won't go down.
Ok, why the fuck did I start to play this mod at 4 AM with my headphones on at max. WHY?! Jesus Christ, I alt f4'ed like a pussy, fuck that house man, fuck it all.
I hate the fucking nightmares!!! AGHHHHH!!!
how the shit do I kill the chopper, the guy says to shoot the chopper pilot and I've emptied like 5 magazines into the bastard and he still won't go down.
The glass is protecting the pilot, you have to concerntrate your firepower onto it in order to shatter it. The helicopter will crash after shooting it for a bit more. You did keep the Sniper Rifle, right? It's incredibly useful for that bit.
I had fun with it and the level design was very well done for a user-made mod, I only got lost once. However I have a few of complaints. The movement speed of both the player and the enemies seemed a bit too fast, and it made the sniping part very difficult. The weapons seem quite unstable, it felt a lot easier to use the LAM rather than ironsights because the recoil wasn't modelled very well. The MP5 should have a 30 round mag, the shotgun ideally 8 rounds, and the SOCOM should have a 12 round mag. The enemies seemed to take way too much damage to the torso but a headshot was an instant kill. The kick, as in SMOD and sub-mods, can be spammed relentlessly and it only takes one kick to kill a guy. The MP5 also seemed quite inaccurate at ranges above ~30m. There were some grammatical errors in the speech, and the fact that there were very few voice actors ruined the immersion slightly. Try to emulate SMOD: Tactical's gunplay. Despite my criticisms it was a very fun mod and I'm looking forward to how it develops. One thing about the story though [sp]The interviewer guy at the end says so far, you were the only one to have gained access to that facility. But 1: Why didn't the rest of your SWAT team find the cave-in and attempt to dig through it, and 2: the organisation the interviewer worked for seemed to have got in to take you out. Also, why has everyone instantly accused Jake of killing everyone, when there are surviving SWAT members by the looks of things, as well as the hostage that was rescued. Why would they assume that you killed all the cops, SWAT members etc. when you also left a trail of dead terrorists in your wake? Another criticism is the bit where you get gassed dragged on a bit too long, as did the cutscene where Jake's wife is playing the piano.[/sp] I also noticed the ability to quicksave was removed, which was annoying as I kept having to sit through the cutscene before the sniping scene because I tried to save the hostage (I'm not sure if you're actually able now).
What is the shovel for? Where the hell do I use it.
