Just wondering, lets say there is a free weekend on MW2, and i make a new profile, DL hax, and play. And when the weekend is over, i remove the hax, log on to my usual steam profile, and play, is there ANY chance i can get banned? This is purely theoretical and i do not intend to hack if the answer is no.

No, that's why free weekends are really "consequence free hacking weekends". That's one reason to have the DLC - so you can avoid it using the DLC-specific playlists.
Actually steve with newer hacks we can access the DLC maps and modes too!

MW2 is peer to peer. I force host a game and bam I have access to all the files and settings.
One of my favorite things to do is make a never ending Team deathmatch on highrise. Either that or play gungame on Quarry.

When I said serverside, I was referring to Steam/IWnet's authentication of DLC ownerships.
VAC has a database just as any system similar, so theoretically one can get banned and unbanned manually just as they did with paranoia. All the database is is a list of steam IDs and various other info to help detect what accounts are what. So all you would have to do is make it so that entry would no longer be there.
It is possible to unban someone, valve just makes it their policy not to.
I also agree with others. Most of this info is common knowledge/logic. Tis just a quick email/google to get the info.
And another thing, is there any way to be VAC banned on non secure servers? I know this might sound stupid, but my friend and i have a discussion wether he got banned from using his hacks that were "Undetectable" by VAC on a secure server, or his aimbot, wallhack, speedhack etc on non secure servers...

YOU are wrong, VAC is an automated system. You do NOT get manually banned. If you do then the whole point of the automated system is defeated.
Just because it's an automatic system, what makes you think that it cannot be manually override or have entries added manually added in its arrays?
They do have the ability to manually ban, but they do not make a habit of doing so.

I got VAC banned for somebody else hacking, it's complete shit.
I'm banned from every Source Game apart from GMod.
What if my dog got on my computer and downloaded hack, it's not my fault.
So this is why JIRX has like 14 alternate accounts :v: , I thought if you didn't screw with the .DLL files it was fair game

Thats why I hate VAC so dearly- it only PUNISHES cheaters, it does not PREVENT them or ACT against them in a timely fashion. Therefore, PB is the superior and VAC is not an Anti Cheat system.
