VAC2 sucks. I've seen many h4x0rs still online because they got VAC2 workaround-hacks, then used say, Cheat Engine 5.6 to freeze their speed values to 3000 and then go nuts in a mario_kart map. Or just use aimbot in CSS, texture packs that work as a wallhack, all kindsa shit. And VAC2 can't do shit because they're already banned! Fucking Steam Support should start disabling accounts. Also, VAC2 is flawed on Macs. Supposedly easy to work around as it was not originally built for Macs

VAC for the common "hack" works, as does any standard prevention method eg police against petty criminals and whatsnot. However when it comes to something more specialized; although there's a chance it will still catch it there's no guarantee that until it understands how the "hack" works that it will be able to enforce itself in such a way.

What i mean is that if the vac still detects the player using hax on a secure server it should disable the account. I bet that'd stop the hackas.

What if you exploit on singleplayer on l4d? or with survival or co-op on l4d?

Okay, so I've got a question. My friend was on a CSS server, and this guy came in and started hacking the server to give everyone fake achievements. Just check out his steam community page. He did nothing to get that, it was some guy who came into the server and did that to everyone saying "You'll all get VAC bans! lol". Will he be VAC banned?
