Basically new missions (though this time with types like blowing up things like cars or gas stations, assassinations, grand theft autos, brawls, firefights, bombing etc.), another storyline (though more minor than in the original game and cutscenes are pretty rare, instead the "story" is told through mission briefings with a picture and some text either narration style from Jimmy or dialog from the client), save game in safehouse system like in GTA, pretty much a Free Ride mode but with more activities and a story, an arcade style score system, factoring kills, headshots, melee kills, drifts, speed velocity etc.
You can also replay the missions anytime so you can increase your score.
Haven't finished it yet but so far it's fun, though still got to admit, it really feels like it should had been in the main game in the first place.

Funny, but this looks like this DLC is what mafia II should have been, and then developers could have released a DLC "Adventures of war-hero Vito" where you can't save, don't have any side missions etc etc because this is just an additional DLC.

I meant it should had been in the main game as in a selection in the first place, like on how Mafia I had Free Ride and Free Ride Extreme, the way on how the main story mode on Mafia II played was fine.
Hmm, I think it's ok without it, this is not Mafia II style DLC it's look similiar to GTA. :/

Pretty much everyone has summed up my opinion of Mafia II already; good but not as good as the first (but to be honest, I'm not surprised as the first set the bar very high in my opinion. I really liked that game a lot, definitely one of my favourites) and it has a somewhat disappointingly abrupt ending. I'm not saying [sp]I wanted Vito to kill everyone to death for what happened, I'm just saying a little monologue or something at the end would have been nice.[/sp]
Also, Jimmy's Vendetta is a little like Freeride Extreme was in the first Mafia, just without the incredibly silly missions and cars. I'm liking it so far basically. I guess as far as DLCs go, it's probably worth £6.50 or whatever but it would have been nice if Mafia II had a Freeride mode already, considering the first one did. Still though, this isn't the same game as the first, so I can accept that it won't be the same in every way.

To be honest, I was expecting the story in Mafia II to be how it is, considering how the first one was. I wasn't surprised it was linear either. As far as I remember, the first didn't let you choose between missions, you were just on a set path and I was under the impression they were doing the same thing again. I liked the linear story though myself.

With this DLC game becomes alive again. Basically it is freeride with arcady missions - which is fun.

This is a fantastic DLC, although it is going to take a long time to get all the achievements - drive 1000 miles in Jimmy's Vendetta - :(

I'm 30% in and aside for the opening cutscene there is no story here.
All these missions i have done so far (steal cars, mess with rival gangs/families) could have all been given to Vito.
It's also quite obvious Jimmy, is basically a new head on Vito's torso. You also use all of Vito's safehouses and they even have Vito's name on the door of one of them.

In early reviews they said that vito could go to freeroam and destroy the families. So this DLC is basically what Vito could be doing. The most obvious is the car stealing missions. They were obviously given to you by that guy in the scrapyard.
So, is this DLC worth a go? Also, will there be DLC with a continuation of the story in the base game?

As far as future DLC continuing Vito's story goes, no they won't be doing that.
Really not impressed with the new Jimmy DLC, i guess it would be good for freeroam but the missions bore me.
