Mafia II Megathread - v2 - Games

There are phones all over the city yet they chose to use these retarded looking icons. You'd think they'd try make some use out of the 1000 phones around Empire Bay we can't use for anything other than bribing the chief.

I know it's pre-rendered and all, but so are the cutscenes, right?

Cutscenes in the game are actually ingame, only 3 are not.

Wait is the Jimmy Vendetta and the Betrayal of Jimmy (that came with ps3) any different?

Well, its nothing great, but i heard they planned to make it way more expensive than it is. Its just 8 euros.

I thought I was going to get this game through an EVGA promotion, but it's for 465s and up. I have a GTX460, so I just got Metro 2033, which I already had :frown:

It prolly been said already but it feels like this dlc is compilation of side missions cut from mafia 2. Why give out for free when you can throw in different generic protagonist and sell the side missions as a dlc.

I found a walker rocket finally, tuned it to the max and sped across the main bridge then i flew into an apartment an died. Speaking of rare cars why is it that every Smith Thunderbolt i see is purple and pink? Sort of related but at the start of the game i got this shitty Shubert 38 to just drive to places since i smash my good cars up too much and i destroyed it about 4 times after it finally left my garage, i had to pay to fix it to drive it out to blow it up. :silent:

Here's me crossing the bridge with level 2 tuned engine(before Jimmys Vendetta dlc). Although IMO a supercharged Thunderbolt > Roller GL3000

So Jimmys vendetta is basically a freeride mode?

I got Jimmy's Vendetta. I hate it. Perhaps it would have been fun to do during the actual story. Be able to go fuck off sometimes and do a car theft or a shoot out. Most people playing this are done with the story and will lose interest around 30%. It's just bland, boring, and repetitive. I say if you desperately want the freeride then to save your money and wait for the community mods.

Wait, what is this supercharging? Does it come with the DLC?

I have a feeling 2K will release a lot of DLC for this, which can be both a good and bad thing.

I also don't like how they force you to do the car theft missions in order to progress with the other ones.
