this game got some anachronisms - in the 1945-1948 parts there's a bunch of cars from 1949
Why does everyone like eating steak and potatoes in mafia 2? Devs didn't have the budget to make more plates that have something else rather than fucking steak and potatoes?

The trailer was very misleading. So far, the game has consisted of driving, running, driving, talking, driving, watching cutscenes, driving, and a little shooting.
Can anyone explain the prologue for me? My game kept skipping around, so it went from robbing some store, and then immediately to Sicily, and then to Empire bay after the mission. Maybe spoiler tag it, too.
And I find Steve and Derek's gravelly voice to be hilarious?

I like how you say "Steve and Derek's voice" rather than voices. They are way too similar for characters that interact as much as they do.

Joe and Vito were robbing a store for easy cash, vito got caught and instead of jailtime, took army time.
After you play the first mission, it skips ahead to a few months/years and you got shot and are sent home on leave for a bit.

... to conclude my review i give Mafia II a 4.5/5 because i only got to eat steak and potatoes.

What did you expect?
The trailer is going to show off the most exciting parts of the game, or at least the bits of the game that look the best. That's how trailers work, if you wanted to know how the game was actually gonna be like, you should have read a review/played the first one/watched the dev diaries.

I was expecting something somewhat exciting and enjoyable, which is what an action game is supposed to be. So far, it feels like the developers forgot they were making a game.
What's the point of buying the more expensive foods at the dinners and bars if they all heal the same?

This hasn't really bothered me, but I hate when people dismiss little complaints like this as not mattering. There's quite a lot of little things that seem stupid to complain about, but all these little things add up.

I'm trying to do that one mission where you have to [sp]get those gas stamps or whatever[/sp] and I got discovered (BECASUE ONE FUCKING COP TURNED AROUND RIGHT BEFORE I WAS GOING TO STEALTH KILL HIM AFGSDFHSGFHGF) the cops come, I deal with the ones the come inside, but now I've ran outside I'm surrounded by cops FUCKING THOUSANDS OF THEM, so of course they kill me using shear numbers and now whenever I spawn I SPAWN OUTSIDE SURROUNDED BY COPS I CAN'T FUCKING KILL

It's still awesome though.

Anyone else have a problem where after playing for about 2 and a half hours non stop, models start to flicker or dissapear? It seems to be fine after a restart, but it's strange.
