You can freeroam between missions and load chapters, but there's no seperate free roam mode. Also there is no free roam after the ending.
Mod tools will fix that. What I'm asking is, can you walk outta the house without picking up the phone?
No, there's always an objective. Either go do mission, or end the day by going home.
After you beat the game, can you go back and replay chapters, or do you have to start a new game?
Someone needs to add in [sp] The Italian uniforms, American uniforms the Wespe, Sherman and Italian trucks from the first mission [/sp]
Did anyone find anymore cool things while roaming around? The only thing i can remember is the ramp on the west side of the city and that was in the demo.
I found a slight problem with the game. I dunno if this is a bug. No matter how long I wait at a stop sign, a lot of times the car in front of me just won't move, even when the intersection is clear. I didn't bump into him or anything, the car in front just simply refuses to budge. I tried honking my horn and it's still the same. Once I waited for 5 minutes straight and the car in front still refuses move. Anyone else experience this?
My thoughts on the ending, not too specific but I'll put tags on it anyway: [sp]It's like you were watching the series finale of your favorite show, then right before it ends some schmuck comes in and pulls the plug. I mean really? What the fuck. I would have preferred 2k spent another month on the game to give me some fucking closure. Best story-driven SP game I've played in a while, worst ending I've seen since Far Cry 2(Well maybe not worse then that)[/sp]
Wait for DLC. You can buy the ending in 8 pieces, 5.99 $ each! Ho ho.

Was funny looking at long thread of cars honking crazy and a retarded police car just stay there like a noob driver.
Alright, I'm really hating the random cutscene failures. I'll be watching a little scene, when suddenly it just stops and puts me right into the game. I have no idea why, but apparently I've been missing out on some crucial plot points. Because of that, could someone explain the first cutscene for chapter 7?
I fucking hate "Warn Leo" Mission, its fucking impossible. 2 things keep happening to me. 1.You have to shake the cops when you make it on time. 2.You don't make it on time. I played it over and over and over! fucking impossible.
I thought that was pretty dumb in the ending how [sp] Vito just lets Joe drive off to be shot, you'd just slaughtered like 40 gangsters and Veto doesn't have the balls to kill a few more to save his best friend? [/sp]
[sp]Of course not. Vito is powerless now. The only one that may have his back is Leo, who pretty much (I think) gave Vito a free pass and didn't whack him. If Vito tried to save Joe, it would basically be a lose/lose situation. He'd either save him (if he was still alive) and get whacked or get whacked anyway because of the war he started between the chinese and the Vinci's. and also working with Henry, who was an FBI informant.[/sp]

In the full game, is there any replay value or anything to do after the story? That's what bugged me, a huge sandbox world with old school themes, and nothing to play around with.

Games like these don't last long once your done. But the story is amazing so far. :buddy: [editline]d[/editline] [sp]CAN THERE STOP HAVING FUCKING JAIL FIGHTS THIS IS SO REPETITIVE NOW[/sp] [editline]d[/editline] Woot, after saying fuck 500 times [sp]while fighting some guy, I finally won the fight and stabbed him..[/sp]

I love the war hero pack :3:
The [sp]mission where you kill Derrick at the docks[/sp] is fucking impossible. Some guy who you can't shoot has infinite molotovs that magically hurt you through walls from 30 feet away. [editline]04:42PM[/editline] why do game developers continue to make games with stupid ridiculously hard missions do they not understand having to redo the same fucking thing 8 times is FRUSTRATING?

Hah! I looked at my gamestop receiptand both DLC codes were on it. Can you take taxis? In GTA 4 I didn't walk ANYWHERE. It was so nice skipping the taxi rides and just popping at the mission destination. Save the driving for the action packed missions.
Just beat the mission with the fucking gas stamps, of course I get to the LAST ONE and the booth is still loading, so I cannot press, "X" to sell the stamps, so the timer runs out and I only got 5/6. Same with my previous attempt, the cops were chasing me because some douche hit me, I payed the fine and of course, it takes 20 minutes to pay the damn thing and the timer runs out when I'm right next to the damn place. Then when I was driving back I accidentally hit a pole and died, forcing me to restart the mission all over again.

I had to restart steam and can't seem to resume my Mafia 2 download (in the UK).
I had to restart steam and can't seem to resume my Mafia 2 download (in the UK).
Uh probably because Mafia 2 isn't out in the UK
Is rain random, because I'm just finishing chapter 10, and I haven't seen any rain at all.. :saddowns:
So I'm guessing that everybody knows about the "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US" easter egg in the prison, right?
Someone should make a trainer or mod that lets you set the weather. I really miss snow
Finally someone smart reviewed Mafia 2, http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/mafia2/review.html?tag=topslot;thumb;1 I think this review was more or less spot from what I've heard people say bout the game. Once the mods start running this game will improve soo much [editline]01:24AM[/editline]
Someone should make a trainer or mod that lets you set the weather. I really miss snow
game.gfx:SetWeather Template("DTFreeRideDaySnow") or instead DTFreerideNight DTFreerideDay DTFreeRideDay DTFreeRideDayRain all these lua commands should work due to the fact that you have the full game. Features such as snow did not exsist in the demo therefore didn't work.
Would anyone like to Trade DLC CD keys? I've got the Vegas pack and I don't want it.
