Though Jimmy's Vendetta is going to cost money from what I've heard so that's probably considered warez.

It's nothing like GTA, but GTA will definitely keep you busy.
Mafia 2 is a great game to rent (Console), but once you beat it there's nothing to do. Hopefully mods will fix that though.

Mafia 2 is better than K&L, but if you want a game that will last you a while and you haven't beaten them yet: Get both GTA IV and the Episodes From Liberty City. Much more time consuming and you probably won't get bored as fast.

From personal experience: Mod My What's Dev Console does NOT corrupt your saves.
Can't say anything about Sobeit's Trainer as I have yet to try it.

Always back up your saves and note that every Steam Profile has a different save folder ID.

Personally, I had no performance issues until the 6th patch. Since then I've been getting 20 FPS at highest settings, but I can still play at medium fine.

We don't have that, I knew I forgot something. Right now we only have Made Man and the few War Hero and Greaser Pieces that were left in the game files, which can be unlocked via LUA Scripts.

The story is good, and the gameplay is interesting too.
I enjoyed the gun fights a lot, the physics engine is amazing.

Weird, it lets me play the DLC after I put it in the folder without any cracks(on retail copy). Though on my friends account it tells him "You have the DLC Installed, you need to buy it in order to use it." or something to that extent.

I believe it's supposed to let you play all DLCs excluding Jimmy's Vendetta and the system bugs out and blocks all of them for some people. Odd.

It's been out for all of 3 minutes in Europe, and Direct2Drive is already down. That's what we get for Take2 not allowing preloading.

I need some help, I get the splash screen, it shows the screen with PhysX logo and things and it just crashes to desktop. Anyone know a reason?

[b]EDIT:[/b] Now it started loading but crashed while during loading. I also turned on PhysX, but never restarted to make it take effect, maybe it causes crashing, if so how do I turn it off whilsnt not ingame?

Firstly, I don't get why everyone is angry about the ending... I liked it and it makes sense.

Secondly, this checkpoint business? You can avoid it if you don't die. :3:
Seriously, I never had a problem with checkpoints, and I died, several time with no troubles with the checkpoints.

Anyway, loved the game, sad that there's no free roam, but then again, kind of glad too, the linear-ness works for it.

Also, how would one open an .sds file, I wanna get those paintings!

I had the same idea about downloading from Steam, but the key will be e-mailed only when Direct2Drive actually releases it.

Ok so i found out a problem with my game. I have external 5.1 speakers with my computer, and i use that audio out slot to play games through my speakers, obviously. However, Mafia 2 will not play any voices in cutscenes through the system, it plays all the other ambient noises etc, but just not the voices in cutscenes.

I found out the problem is related to the speakers, and if anyone is having trouble with it, you have to either hook up your monitor speakers, or do what i did, and just put headphones directly into your PC's green audio out slot.

I'd appreciate someone who can tell me a way to use my speakers if it's possible, but i kind of want voices in cutscenes. lol.
