Take the car outside and drive right under the second floor, get out and shoot the two guys down there. They should send guys downstairs, shoot them before they get down. Just take it easy and eventually it should be safe to go up and [sp]Kill Derek[/sp].

About the reviews, I think IGN might be a littler better but they judge it on what the game wasn't.
