The overall percentage doesn't ever mean JUST story. Take GTA IV for example.

Cenega company, which distributes Mafia 2 in Czech Republic announced that it's preparing a number of extensions that bring in to game new stories and possibilities. The extensions will be announced in this year.
I like how review sites kick Mafia II in the balls because it doesn't have much to do after you beat the story. GTA IV was the EXACT SAME THING and it got perfect scores across the board.

Not really, GTA IV still had the multiplayer and some other stuff to do. I still don't understand why Mafia II got so bad reviews though.

I think alot more was expected from it, and it doesn't help that it was compared to very time consuming games like GTA, especially when it turns out to be a fairly linear game with moderate length.

The multiplayer was pretty suckish really. Only online free roam was a little interesting. Only thing that made GTA IV on PC so popular was modding. And the "other stuff" was just killing flying rats and assassination jobs for the pay phone dude. In this game it's wanted posters and Playboys. It's not the length of GTA IV, but it's longer than most games out there. I don't understand why a game that tries to be longer suddenly over stays it's welcome and games like MW2 that last only 5 hours get perfect scores across the board. The standard for video games nowadays is bullshit.
People were pissed that GTA 4 didn't have much to do after the main story. Well, in comparison to san Adreas. I guess developing an open world game of that magnitude takes up so much development time.

People have been speculating an alternate ending because there's a song called, "Alternate Ending," in the Orchestral Soundtrack. People are assuming if you beat the game on hard, collected all the wanted posters and playboys you get the alternate ending where Vito [sp]pulls out his colt and kills everyone in the car and then you have to drive and rescue Joe.[/sp] I personally don't believe it and I'm not going to try and find all 150 posters and playboys just to find out.
