I remember before release the devs kept saying that mafia II did not take any influence or story elements from any films or TV. I don't believe that for a second. [sp] Not only do 3 of the main characters feel very reminicent of the 3 main characters of Goodfellas (Joe = Tommy, Henry = Jimmy, Vito = Henry), the whole drug deal part of the story feels lifted straight from Goodfellas. If Vito had brought Joe and Henry into the deal, rather than Henry bringing Joe and Vito in, it would have been pretty much the same. But hey I love Goodfellas so it doesn't bother me.[/sp]

It does, but only before/after you go to places to start/end missions. Not after the story is over. I think the mod had extra stuff or something.

The reason behind it is to get them to stop doing stupid shit like that. Release game for Full Price. Keep Content that was done BEFORE THE GAME WENT GOLD separate and charge additional for it.
