the game was not near as buggy in alpha something's wrong with that
So I've had:
Increased amounts of missing chunks, especially when I first loaded the Nether,
Lighting update failures across the entire map,
Very dark shadows in a brightly-lit room,
And finally, Ghost Block Syndrome.
So yeah, the update that was meant to fix bugs has caused countless more.
Nice going, Notch.
Okay...maybe I overreacted a tad bit, but I still paid for a game that didn't have a ton of game-breaking bugs before anyway. So Notch...please fix them. Sorry for calling a fat fuck. :(

I don't think you can just take it back.
And this is a stupid theory: But just consider that if everybody wasn't rushing him on updates there wouldn't be as many bugs. I am [b]not condoning[/b] how Notch has been working lately, but he did mention stopping gaming Fridays and working more because his company was getting serious. Honestly I have never once in my entire gaming life of Minecraft had a serious problem with a bug. I either stop playing or work around it. I have never had to complain or worry that my gaming experience would suck. If you honestly can't look around a few bugs until it is in the final release, you aren't that big of a fan of Minecraft as you probably say you are (in my opinion).
Okay, out of annoyance, Im going to figure out how to modify minecraft, and then make a bug fixing mod.

Beta isn't a good enough excuse for BREAKING SMP.
It's amazing the amount of testing they must have done for this. Notch has good intentions; it just boggles me how he and his team of testers can overlook the abundance of game-breaking bugs that minecraft now contains
Note that my post means as in for impatient "CANT LIVE WITH BUGS FOR A BIT!" people.
So something weird happened. I was playing with some friends on a server I was hosting and the power went out. Our inventories rolled back but the world didn't. I noticed that the map I had put in the chest was still there and I had one in my inventory. They were both map_1. I had a hunch so I told my friend to hold one and well, this happened.

I also hate how every time there's a game breaking bug/update, he acts all happy and sunny about like "Oooh no i screw up i fix in a few days k i luv u all :DDDDD".
Notch should just add bugs to the game, creepy crawly bugs.
I'm going to get flak for this, but I think Notch should just take time, focus on stability and scalability, and THEN start adding in ambitious features. I don't care if it takes a few months, I just want a final product that works.

Limit them to a spread of three blocks from their original location and have them plantable
(Using seeds on untilled ground will make tall grass grow)
