1.6.4 HD patcher works fine with 1.6.5

So Advanced OpenGL is back.
You can change the fps limit in settings
It was not the case.
It was not the case.
What do you mean? The option doesn't show up?
It was not the case.
Changing FPS limit was an earlier 1.6 update.
-snip i was wrong-

Meh. It dragged my FPS down so much it's not even funny so I never bothered with it. OpenGL, that is.
What do you mean? The option doesn't show up?
Gosh, I mean that my FPS was 45 because the CPU was heavily loaded. Anyway, is shift click crafting removed? Doesn't work for me.
There is no excuse for creating so many blatantly obvious, game-breaking bugs. None. Having a life does not entail being incompetent.
Once again, it's a BETA. You shouldn't expect a stable game at all times. GET. THE. FUCK. OVER. IT.
Once again, it's a BETA. You shouldn't expect a stable game at all times. GET. THE. FUCK. OVER. IT.
can we go for a page without having this argument please
Once again, it's a BETA. You shouldn't expect a stable game at all times. GET. THE. FUCK. OVER. IT.
We shouldn't be expecting a perfect bugless game, we are expecting a WORKING one. Though he is working on it, so shut your trap too.
Java crashes about every 5 minutes when playing Minecraft, what's wrong?
I found the cause of TraderRager's rage. It's to the left of what browser he's using. :v:
Once again, it's a BETA. You shouldn't expect a stable game at all times. GET. THE. FUCK. OVER. IT.

I found another bug- If you drop a used tool, it instantly breaks upon use. Even if it is a DIAMOND PICKAXE WITH BARELY ANY USES! :argh:
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1091908-1.6-is-here?p=30091170&viewfull=1#post30091170 lol
that dropping tools bug is still there
that dropping tools bug is still there
I just tried it, it's fixed for me.
http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1091908-1.6-is-here?p=30091170&viewfull=1#post30091170 lol
Zing 'o the year 2011.
This update was extremely disappointing.
Getting better fps w/ the update
Now my FPS fucks up when I maximize.
What is this Advanced OpenGL anyway? I notice no difference whatsoever. Except my framerate is cut in half or something like that.
I'd really like to know how much of a garble the source code for Minecraft is. It seems that for every new fix/change/addition to the game, ends up breaking everything else. For example:
In SMP, the sleeping animation is not played when trying to sleep in a bed. Instead, the player may walk around freely until all players are sleeping. Trying to right-click the bed again will give you "The bed is occupied" message.
How did this bug end up occurring? Did it have to do with the advanced OpenGL? Or maybe the frame-rate cap?
That bed bug isn't even new. I've seen it on 1.5 (and possibly earlier) a lot on the server that I play on.
1.6.5 is a perfect example of Minecraft's development. Notice the volumes of the following: Bug fixes
Dropped equipment no longer breaks on the first use. Objects will now be pushed out if they are within a block. Lighting acts normal again when placing/removing torches. The game no longer crashes when shift-clicking to put items in a chest that is already full and vice versa.
New bugs
In SMP, the sleeping animation is not played when trying to sleep in a bed. Instead, the player may walk around freely until all players are sleeping. Trying to right-click the bed again will give you "The bed is occupied" message. (old bug) Framerate limit can not be removed, but setting Framerate limit at 90 or 200 FPS allows FPS to exceed this.[1] Setting Framerate Limit to 40 FPS may increase CPU usage on some computers.[2] Holding a map in a boat can cause the left arm to be too high.[3] It is no longer possible to use up all crafting materials at once by shift-clicking. Some chunks still don't recieve proper lighting updates when switching from day -> night and vice versa. In initial versions, the version number was no longer shown. The one with the version number was re-uploaded within few minutes, but only in menu. Some trees will have pine leaves on them regardless of fast or fancy graphics and extras added on. [4] After you teleport to the nether, you will experience the swirl screen as if you were heading back as soon as you arrived. This won't teleport you though, but the animation won't stop until you move. Cacti regenerates rapidly, and those newly generated blocks will not drop new cacti blocks. Any cacti placed by the player will become invisible, but is still able to damage players and mobs. Sometimes when trying to lie down on the bed, it fails and removes one half of the heart in MP.
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history Realistically, neither Notch or Jeb will be able to stabilize Minecraft before it goes into respiratory arrest again.

No Notch. You cannot sleep. You cannot eat. You cannot shower or shit or shave (don't shave!) I am entitled to a working game that is full of eyefuck. You must work on this game for me so that I can play it all the time and have the best life ever. I am working on a giant creeper statue and because you are eating and sleeping, I cannot build my giant creeper statue. Get to work, you lazy asshole.
What the fuck, now my main menu is at 0.5 FPS. [editline]28th May 2011[/editline] IT KEEPS HAPPENING
So, do I update my client or 1.6.5 didn't fix anything?
So, do I update my client or 1.6.5 didn't fix anything?
Fixed most of the bugs for me. You can always just backup your files and try it.
I don't care about these little bugs anymore, at least the 3 things that annoyed me are fixed: SMP lags, lighting and tools breaking. Gonna update my server and test 1.6.5 out :D
