Minecraft's fanbase, has to be one of the most whiney fans I have seen. Seriously people, what the hell? It's always like this "YES NOTCH IS ADDING <ITEM> and FIXING <BUG>", then you moan and bitch about how he's a terrible programmer and how he makes more bugs and needs to just quit on minecraft and hand it to Jeb_, who seems to be some programming demigod according your unfair comparison.
As for 1.6, I have had NO issue with it. I have experienced zero bugs you all are moaning about and acting like it's Armageddon.
I just had to get that out.

Just because you had no issues, it doesn't mean we all didn't. NOW DROP THE FUCKING ARGUMENT.
No need to cuss, calm down all.
Lets not start this shit again (Maybe I wasn't involved but I had to read pages of it.)

So is 1.6.5 safe? I tried it on my laptop and it went fine (which is already major since it can barely run anything anyway), but I still don't trust it.

It's fine.
Just don't drop any tools on cobblestone. :v:

We wanted a new Engine, right?
Ugh.
I just encountered the lighting bug yesterday in SMP. It only happened once though. Not sure what it was about.
Why did it take Notch so damn long to remove the watermark in game?

What watermark? You mean the version number?
Because it was useful to some degree.

Useful how? It brings it up with F3 anyway.
Maps are kinda useless if you can't mark anything.
None of my buildings are big enough to show up.

Maps look really ugly if anything. Anything you build will look so small on the map, you can barely see it.
Would help if the resolution was bumped up a tiny bit

Not tiny but, but quite a lot. And I want to have an option for how big a map is. From 1 chunk to 10-15 or so.
It should look like minutor

Mjeh, I kinda like the in game maps.
Sure they aren't as detail accurate as most programs, but they look imperfect in the same way a map drawn by hand could be.

A map drawn by hand is imperfect, not lacking detail, there's a difference.

Well since the minecraft map is zoomed out further I can sort of sympathize with it.
Personally, I think we should be able to choose our scale. Then we could cover much more on a map with less detail, or a small amount with lots of detail.
I still think we should be able to label the map.

I'm pretty sure that's stuff that we were promised we could do with the maps.

We were promised a lot of things.
