you just mad because we got the portal gun technology and england doesn't
Even sadder is that Chell was trapped in Aperture by GLaDOS when she was elementary school age. She probably lacks some pretty basic social skills.
That's still only a theory.
Anyways, I was afraid the walls would open up and it would show Chell was still in Aperture, but it doesn't go there, and what's left is a pretty sweet, if not slightly sad, short film covering one branch the story could've gone with Portal's original ending.
need some help cookin' little lady
Was I supposed to read that in the adventure sphere's voice?
I'm pretty sure the "By: Chell" potato experiment pretty much cements it.
Personally, I feel that due to the fact she was able to take a survey and have a recent looking photo taken for her file in "Lab Rat," added with Aperture Science statis technology having shown itself to halt the aging process before, adds up to Chell being her current age by the time GLaDOS takes over.
But this is merely my opinion on the matter, and others are bound to have different ones. And this topic is no real place to be discussing it, so I'll shut up now.
I didn't like it. While the effects were cool and all it didn't change the fact that I literally watched a crazy woman fail to bake a cake and then have to bake another one. Found the part where she scratched her own back with the portals humorous though.
Uhm what is this
Solution: GLaDOS was first activated on BYDTWD, but wasn't able to take control until a much later event, Bring Your Cat to Work Day, years later. At this event Henry gives her the power to use neurotoxin to perform the cat in a box experiment, which she uses against them. At this point Chell has willingly signed up taken part of the testing process.

If we assume BYDTWD was in 1996 and the BMS was in 2010, and she was 7 in 1996, that puts her at about 21 during the takeover. I assume Aperture did what they always do with stuff they don't need anymore and just let it sit there forever.
my take on the matter

I can agree with that.

It verily appears to be a cryptic message in the previously linked Youtube video.
The bit where she put the beans in the bin was cool.
While the video was cute, I would watch it again due to the credits. Those was some awesome credits.
I love it. It's rather pointless, but it's so adorable. I've watched it like 5 times since yesterday :V
