Oh it's 9:43 AM Here :byodood:
I'm enjoying it so far. Only things that are frustrating me, is i can't get the Hind or Su-25 to do a decent gun/rocket run and just strafe an area. ( I want to make a mission where you are on your way to take back a city as the Militia, and as you get close to the OpFor held city, a flight of Su-25's come screaming overhead and run a rocket pass down the road, knocking out your armor support for the mission.) Also, the rocks on the sides of the cliffs. They would be so handy for launching RPG ambushes on vehicles below, but your character just spazzes the fuck out on them and clips into them.

I think I'll wait for a deal.
Right im gonna make a simple biplane dogfight mission for the server when my oa starts working :v: Respawning planes and two starting locations and we're set. :buddy:
hide a tunguska somewhere
lol good idea, that or a box with anti air launchers :v:

Aw shit can't make the mission, the only biplane ingame has no weapons, someone told me it did.

[editline]03:05AM[/editline]
You sir, are a peach!
It's been too long since i've edited in this. All i'm god at currently is setting up missions with boring ol' convoys driving into their imminent doom. I gotta get back on it!
Any one knows how can I create a working ULB? I take the apache heli and a ULB module (F7), sync the ULB with the heli (with F5) but in-game it says that ULB is destroyed.
make a farm animal demolition derby [editline]08:08AM[/editline] or perhaps farm animal/human gunner teams farm animals having .50s on them with a gunner manning them
Also, the insane AI accuracy is still the most frustrating thing ever. I'm getting picked off by Technicals in one shot at a mile away :(
so can you combine OA on STEAM with ArmA 2 from retail?
Yes, with this http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1663202#post1663202

There are some new scripting commands that make units shoot at your will, without giving you trouble
strange, is the ulb set to flying? and dumb question, you are using the AH-6X as the ULB, right?
It doesn't have any settings, it's a module. I tried to find an ULB unit, but maybe I was searching in the wrong place?
No, I meant the ULB itself. it's under Blufor -> US -> Air -> AH-6X
gona go to sleep, I will try to finish it. There are some new scripting commands that make units shoot at your will, without giving you trouble
Thanks! I'm going to keep at it, and see if i can't get a little progress made.
try search and destroy waypoint
No, I meant the ULB itself. it's under Blufor -> US -> Air -> AH-6X
Thanks! Another one: How do I make a chopper that was spawned in the air and with a team inside land, unload only selected soldiers and then leave. If I make all of them one team, then the pilot exits the chopper with everybody and it stays, and when I make them two separate teams, I can't spawn the chopper with them on board.
What are your specs? Do you even know if your computer can run it?
You have the same avatar as me what the christ
You have the same avatar as me what the christ
I saw this too, avatar thieves everywhere :v:
there is a way to put a group in an aircraft, but I can't recall the exact init. What you can do is place a heli or two at an airport / base , and make a separate group. Waypoint the heli to the LZ as "transport unload" and then waypoint it back to base as "get out". Then, waypoint the ground unit to "get in" on the chopper (it has to say "chopper" or whatever, cannot be near it). that should work,

Then set the chopper to "Unload" and give the infantry squad the "Get Out" waypoint, then link those. I think that should do it. I'm waiting on Steam to verify ArmaII so i will try in a second and see if that's right. But give that a try, and i will try and report back.

And to make them disembark is to make the chopper have a "transport unload" waypoint at the LZ.
Here: {_x moveincargo veh3} foreach units this veh3 being the veh you want to move the group into, _x is the group leader, don't change anything there, and foreach units this makes the entire group get in. Just put that in the group leaders init or anywhere.
Or this.
