Even my Quad 3.2ghz HD5750 4Gigs struggles with this game on High, But Medium to High runs decent enough, I really wish they'd optimize the bushes and trees, so when you look into one your computer doesn't have a stroke
OA is not a forest shitstorm, it'll run great
I didn't like the forests anyway, I never fought in them. But when I did occasionally get stuck in them (From mis-drops when parajumping), usually they were death traps anyway.
I wish the game was optimized enough to handle a large modern American city. It would be so awesome having battles in New York City while flying helicopters around buildings and driving Humvees down the street. Think of the possibilities.

Playing on Isla Duala is less challenging than Utes on my PC
I love how project reality should be out around OA's release date. Just in time...
I love how project reality should be out around OA's release date. Just in time...
Project Reality is a pile of shit compared to ArmA. I love the fanboys (not saying you are one) that insult you from pointing out game flaws.

My ArmA2 Folder is filled with a shit ton of mods so that it crashed every hour, I'm gonna need to clean it out except for ACE and CAA1 in order to play this. Hopefully this'll improve the performance issues I get on Chernarus.
you'll have A huey before OA...
Those animations were surprisingly fluid and smooth, considering Arma's are usually a bit... blocky
This game looks so fucking awesome, I just can't get over how the weapon moved in ARMA 1, I'm not sure if it's like that in ARMA 2, The demo was being a real asshole and lagged me badly for some reason.
forgot to post US publisher is Merridan 4. http://www.meridian4.com/games/arma2/index.html
Also, new OA screenie! Goats in FLIR!
Damn, I just bought ArmA 2 a few couple months ago.
I've never bought an ArmA expansion. Is it a stand alone game? Or is it like a giant Addon?
It's standalone, but it also works as a giant addon.

after reading a bit it appears it might be 29 bucks.
It's standalone, but it also works as a giant addon.
So I can play with desert vehicles and apaches on Chernarussia?
Pretty much.
yeah sure only if you copy all the addons from arma 2 into arma 2 OA
So I can play with desert vehicles and apaches on Chernarussia?
Only if you own the original core game.
Any changes to the AI? Such as fixing it so you can't be shot by some guy 2 miles away, with just the tip of his head peaking out the ground when you're in a ghillie suit, proned in a small wooded area? That's the only major flaw I find with this game, just the AI raping you from out of sight, other than that, the game is great.
Get ACE, it fixes that. I crawled in between two guys and behind a Shilka, then blew it up and escaped without being noticed.

They don't engage unless you're less than 1000/500 meters (depending on what weapon they have)

If so I may check it out again, see how I feel
they fire in your general direction, and if you use a stealth addon (zeus or the ai stealth and recognition mod) they can't spot you as easily, but they will fire in your general direction [editline]08:23PM[/editline] what do you mean by the latest version? they won't give ArmA 2 ArmA 2: OA features
