Guess I'll stick with "Vanilla" Arma II till the 12th then.
Also I'm wondering, how do you make.. a chopper come to the extraction point? Was playing with a friend Cooperative in the campaign, and on the first mission we had trouble finding out how to get extracted. Is it done via the map? If so, does it need to be the host doing it?
It's really not worth the buy imo. Just finished the campaign and mucked around the editor for hours. Just an expansion with new units and environment there are no new interesting features or AI improvements (at least none I can tell).

Also, is the game way less buggy than the original?
The original game isn't really that buggy anymore, and it was mostly just the campaign that was buggy in the first place.

I doubt it, I practically have to wipe my AI squadmates' asses, they're so inept.
I do get better FPS though.

i might agree if i didnt play mp but arma 2 is the only mp game to keep me interested for longer than a month and so far OA mp is fantastic. the only bug i have had is with mhq ammo box's crashing the game
Performance mod is great, I can play MP without lagging so much that I cry in fear.
This is like my family meetings.

i went around for hours just robbing stores and evading the cops and i never even had to fire a shot until the end when i was cornered
then i tried to set up a deal with a cop to cut me some slack and got ambushed by a bunch of cops

What server is that?
The server is called Zargabad Roleplay or something like that, just type in Zargabad in the mission filter and it'll show up

etc etc.
each are around 900mb..

they also sucked, and there was not on Zargabad before, and OA is brand new so yes everyone is new what the fuck are you on about exactly
I'm currently in America on holidays I haven't played any ARMA game but I'm interested in buying the double pack on steam. The computer I'm stuck with is a a Dual Core AMD X2 4000+, 2gb ram and 512mb 8600 GT, will it run ok? or is it better to wait till i get back home to play on my own rig.
I'm looking into buying Arma 2, one a scale of 1-10, what would you guys rate it and why.
8, the game is great and there's so much diversity in the missions and so many mods that it can feel like you're playing a different game each mission.
it's great for co-op and having fun with large amounts of players
but you also have the issues of desync and there's a fair amount of bugs here and there
I'd probably play it mostly for MP. Is it fast paced or more team work based because I hate fast paces multiplayer shooters like MW2.
But I like things where there are different ways to do something than just run straight in and die and then instantly respawn.

I just got Arma 2 today, have to actually do the dreaded and clean my room, hope its worth it.
