Nowadays Six updater is way too easy to use. Install it, run "Six updater - GUI" and then just select vanilla from presets and execute, or if you want different mods too you can just modify the presets to include more stuff. Oh noes it's so hard to use.
Hmm... http://updater.dev-heaven.net/main/vid Nah...
Wait what? Drugs, stop using them mate :psyduck:
Oh what the hell, everytime I download a setup file and check it's md5, it's different from the ones from this thread (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=77348&page=14). How could the files be fucking up this badly? Is there any way to get a refund and order a CD copy?
Has anyone with Steam ArmA 2 and OA gotten mods to load for Combined Operations? Dwarden had some batch files and some bullshit stuff using symbolic links but it doesn't detect my registry links for the games for some reason.
I played on that Zargabad roleplay server today at my friend's house, but his laptop can barely run the game so we just abused our police powers and shot up everyone. Roleplay is a cool concept, but it's really confusing when it comes to playing it.

So, Arrowhead worth getting if you quite enjoyed ARMA 2 then?
Whenever I join it says that I don't have the right files for it :(
Really? I got vanilla, no mods, it downloaded a couple of things when joining the server, but only server info stuff I guess because it was only like 950kbs. I wouldn't worry too much, you're not exactly missing out on a great gamemode.

the server requires no mods, do you have any mods on or custom sound files?
the server requires no mods, do you have any mods on or custom sound files?
Nope.
950kbs
It downloaded the mission files to your system. They are located in c:documents and settings/user/local settings/application data/ArmA 2 OA/MPMissionsCache and if you extract them to your mpmissions folder in ArmA II directory, then you can host the same mission.
Whenever I join it says that I don't have the right files for it :(
You got retail, sprocket or Steam version?

The more you know I guess.
Facepunchers are welcome to join our server at any time. Search: Takistan Liberation Front. We play mostly Domination for now, but we'll be moving onto custom missions when we've finished making them.

Is Operation Arrowhead still as unoptimized as the main game? I've read a few comments and people say that it's much more bug-free and optimized.
I wish I could afford this. Fucking living off 16,000 USD a year.
I get about 40-50 frames in ARMA2 and about 60-70 in OA, Its more optimised.
Expansion or?
With a name like the Takistan Liberation Front, I'd assume it's OA (Y'know, being as Takistan is the country in the expansion) Also, in Mission 03 (Pathfinder) do you have to go on foot to free the villagers? Because I started rolling out there in my M1A2 and immediately failed the objective (Before I was anywhere near it)

I might actually get this, i'm due for a good sim. Plus it looks cool.
Fuck, one shot one kill and the one where you have to sneak and destroy tanks are fucking hard.
Steam
Tried verifying integrity?
Tried verifying integrity?
Nope.
Nope.
That might solve some problems if you get problems that the files differ from the ones in server.
Anyone here with Steam ArmA II and Steam OA had any luck so far in having mods show up in the in-game mod manager?
I still can't get it to run combined operations, and i have both on Steam.
I still can't get it to run combined operations, and i have both on Steam.
the official BI forums have a working Bat file look on there.
