What does ACE actually change in the game anyway?
I'm new so I'm not really sure and I can't seem to find a description for it.

Stick to about 20-25kg for assault order. 30-40kg if you don't expect to be jogging much.
I'd like to see you go for a jog with 50kg on.

I like playing the SF operator who runs a flat 100 meters with a 30kg load and then passes out for three minutes because he's a diabetic or something.
Oh yeah, and has anyone figured out a kind of walkthrough for the poor (POOR), badly done campaign yet?
Does anyone knows a gametype in ArmA 2 to build up a base and after that just do the things you want to do?
I know a gamemode like this but it includes capture the village. And i pretty much hate that.

This is the first ARMA game I've played. Not too impressed. Vehicles we're fun, and I really like the little mini-games in the armory, but it seemed sorta incomplete. Using the Lee-Enfield just made me mad at how half assed it was.

Play multiplayer, make up battles in the editor. The game wasn't made for armoury.
I've decided I'm going to buy this when ever I get a new credit card on my paypal. I really hope there are a bunch of Us servers or I'm going to be disappointed.
What are the most needed things to get before going into multiplayer? I'm talking about mods for Arma2 and arrowhead.

Alot of servers dont have any extra mods required, but many servers use ACE

Fucking shit dongs, my CD drive is too outdated to properly read the Arrowhead disk (or copy it to the hard driver) and so I cannot play it. I guess that's what I get for salvaging them from some HPs.

I love PvP, but I've only seen one server running a gamemode for it.
It's kind of sad, I had a fair few fond memories in short order playing it. Hiding in buildings, picking off unsuspecting players who could never seem to find me. Firing missiles at speeding, swerving jeeps that are spraying my team down with MG fire, and popping out of cover and firing one shot from an AK to rescue my teammates from imminent automatic-flavored death.

Would downloading game files for Operation Arrowhead (not a cracked version or anything like that, just the UNCORRUPTED game files) be illegal?
Before you ban me, hear me out. I would be using my purchased key, with a completely unmodifed .exe. It would be just like me installing it from a disk. I don't think FADE triggers unless you modify certain sections of the exe, so that wouldn't be a problem. As it's shaping up, a torrent may be the only way for me to play the game.

Also I really wish there was a better zombie mod for Arma 2, the undead mod is now unsupported and, while it's alright, it's very annoying because zombies can walk through walls randomly, therefore making forts and zombie defense bases pointless.

What the hell, I accidently uninstalled the original Arma 2, tried to reinstall it, same error as with Operation Arrowhead. I got a new CD drive, not working. Firmware is already updated, no drivers to be found, fuck this.
