it's in ACE2..
What should I currently be expecting out of Arma 2 in terms of frame-rate? GTX285 Phenom II 940 @ 3.2Ghz 4Gb RAM Playing on 1920x1080 with most settings on high rather than very high I only seem to scrape 20-25fps :\
in ArmA 2, yeah 25 FPS seems right lol in OA, I'd guess 40+ FPS. This will run miles better simply due to its terrain..
they fire in your general direction, and if you use a stealth addon (zeus or the ai stealth and recognition mod) they can't spot you as easily, but they will fire in your general direction [editline]08:23PM[/editline] what do you mean by the latest version? they won't give ArmA 2 ArmA 2: OA features
Well I mean patch standards like any Ai or bug fixes in the expansion will also be applied to Arma 2..
it's in ACE2..
I haven't got ACE2 :downs:
well get it!!!!!! [editline]06:47AM[/editline]
Well I mean patch standards like any Ai or bug fixes in the expansion will also be applied to Arma 2..
i dont know about that :( probably not, but they are fixing the already in-game features
well get it!!!!!!
But... But I don't wanna!
Have fun playing on two servers. ACE makes the game better.
Have fun playing on two servers. ACE makes the game better.
And I like not needing to download a buttfuck of stuff to ACE work.
So downloading one thing is too much for you?
And I like not needing to download a buttfuck of stuff to ACE work.
You just have to download an installer and run it, which then in turn allows you keep the mod up to date with a few clicks. It's not a bad deal, really, considering how frequently they update it. I'd consider the mod well worth the downloads and installations even if they were much more of a bitch.
Is OA coming out on steam?
yes [editline]03:44AM[/editline] I hope there is a demo :( meanwhile, in utes,
lol.
Is there any confirmed price tag yet?
no, but i've heard rumors that it is going to be 30 bucks [editline]04:22AM[/editline] fuck yeah
Sprinting Fast pace and overall nimbleness seemingly other than the tutorial influenced the campaign as well, while the swift flow and a bit more linearity compared to the original ArmA 2 clearly did the game good - everything is more polished and plays a bit better too. This also allows the authors better control over the who system and dosages of thrill, that way parts of the background story could be easily revealed - bits about characters and events aren't by far enough for us to make a decent picture yet though. I also seemed to be that the atmosphere of Takistan is pictured rather well even just with the realia and alternations between dead-dry plains and green valleys. This was further enforced by logical mission set up. Everything is then highlighted by sound, which seemed a bit more realistic and sharp than in the original game, and catchy music which had very skilfully inserted Arabic rhythms inside of it.
I just want this for more things to fuck about with.
yes [editline]03:44AM[/editline] I hope there is a demo :( meanwhile, in utes,
Where the fuck did you get that
So downloading one thing is too much for you?
Big one against online install programs me. Ever since TurtleSVN fucked my laptop. TWICE
So downloading one thing is too much for you?
They overcomplicated the installation.
I wouldn't say that.. I mean, the way I did it. I just downloaded four things. Community Addon Pack, the PLA, Core and Extras. I extracted them all and then I had to play around to figure out I had to extract those TAR files in the store. That's all I did. I didn't link it to that updater because it's overly complicated and confusing.
Just use the Yoma Addon Sync. You put in your directory, choose the mirror, and download. [editline]07:13AM[/editline] Does anybody know the name of that pirate mod that was under development?
holy shit stalker units on armaholic
They overcomplicated the installation.
Boohoo very complicated. You install the installer, then find SIX from windows start menu -> all programs and continue -> Six Updater suite -> Six Updater - GUI and start it. then it starts up and after after a few minutes it starts a web browser. Then choose MAIN from the page the web browser started, and use preset "A.C.E. Mod ( Vanilla)" and click Execute. Then another prompt opens up and starts to download and install the mod files. After it has done its installing and shizzling go to ArmA II root folder and find @ACE folder. then go to store folder and unrar userconfig folder. then open the folder and copy/move the userconfig folder inside the folder you just opened to ArmA II root folder. then after copying that go to "userconfig\ace" folder and open ace_clientside_config file with notepad and edit the settings to what you want. After that you are free to play. And after that just use "Six Updater - Console" to update the mod instead of "Six Updater - GUI"
That right there is too complicated for most people.
it's in ACE2..
and rarely used but i brought down a hind with one, that was fucking epic
Thats why you use Yoma's Addon Sync and not that stupid six updater bullshit.
This isn't on the topic of Operation Arrowhead Just to blast that out into the open
ok ok [editline]04:54PM[/editline] ACU looks awful, I'll be using bink's soldiers in this game for sure lol
