The voices have improved. I've yet to hear what characters sound like when they give a move order. "All, MOVE to that BUSH"
All I hope for is some half decent optimization, so that my rig can handle it at the level it should.

they say it will run shitloads better. Don't worry.
also, an instresting fact:
Sarhani contained around 350,000 objects, OA's Takistan contains around 600,000 or so, and Chernarus contains over a million objects.

Also, if you blow up the building, and there are civilians inside, you will either lose points or your people will attempt to end your life. At least, that's what happens when you kill civilians in ArmA 2.
you can always laze a target for F16s to drop JDAMs, that way he gets the penalty

I bought ARMA 2 never really liked it. I really enjoyed playing online with the (387th? Can't remember the exact name) "clan".
Forgive me for being a noob, but how do you lower your weapon in ArmA2 ? ( I havent gotten it yet but in the demo I couldnt figure out how. also watching the stuff for Operation Arrowhead and that its supposedly going to be better optimised im definately getting it)

Is this going to be installed over original ARMA2 or is it a standalone game? So if I buy this I'm missing all of the original content?

It's standalone and I doubt it will have any of the Arma 2 content on it (ie. if you don't have the original game then you won't have access to Chernarus and Utes, the USMC, Russian Army or the Chechnyan-style rebels, plus any user-made addons that require original files from Arma 2 probably won't function).
Or at least I suspect that's the case. I'm not certain.
everything from ARMA2 will be cross compatible with OA. Just might need some tweeking
If you don't have OA, can you join someone who is playing on a custom island and only has OA?
I found this game to be quite hard to get to understand.
