I'm really starting to dislike jazzman's animations.
I mean, they're well done, but they are just way too cartoony and exaggerated. Everything constantly flops around like it was made of rubber bands and jello.
I've been subcribed to this guy for a while now. He has to be the best animator I've ever seen.
This was a really nice trailer. I liked the part with the vortigaunts.

at least it's not as bad as sparkwire :v:
the animations look nice and all but the trailer overall is shit
no pace, no tension
that's not a trailer at all, actually.
will it make you feel better if they call it a "hl1 fan scene remake with new animations plz watch"
now that i think about it, hes right
the whole "crawling in the vents" thing was repeated way too long even
im fairly sure that was a stab at how much time you spend in vents

The 5 consecutive vent crawling scenes were a joke on its own.
This is too awesome, I was hoping to hear this song

Those doors, man
Those doors.
If my doors moved like that - I would stop going to work
This is so great.
Very well made.
His half life 2 fight scenes were better, but this is good considering he was using the models from 1998.
was expecting this kinda
I couldn't take it seriously when the doors freaked out at the start. I thought of Half-Mind the whole way through.
Which doors are you talking about?
Valve.Hire.Right.Now.

Now THIS is something I can call great animation.
The other one in the op is great, but is not really fitting, if at all, this one however is spot on.
Also he made gordon fremman look Bad-A while running with that rocket launcher in hand.
right, "2004 graphics"
This is the difference between Half-Life's "1998 graphics" and Half-Life: Source's "2004 graphics":

Mr. Benson's video is clearly patterned off of Half-Life: Source, complete with its crappy lighting, crappy texture replacements, and crappy, non-fitting HL2 sounds. Between this and Freeman's Mind, it's no wonder that people tend to remember Half-Life as having "bad graphics."

holy crap that's horrible

i thought hl:s was just a physics engine update
The shotgun scene and the garg scene were the best. It wasn't a proper trailer but it just got me so fucking hyped.
i thought hl:s was just a physics engine update
Nope, Valve made sure the weekend interns they hired to poorly port the game to Source also broke the map lighting, the animations, much of the gameplay, and basically everything else so as to thoroughly destroy the game's reputation.
Just as an example, this is the result of a hit box error introduced in Half-Life: Source:

Well, you're in luck, the game is out.

How is that a hit box error?
Fucking Amazing!
While I don't particularly like the "bounciness" of the animations (as everyone else has stated), I still think this is fucking awesome.
How is that a hit box error?
This is just a guess but I think you can only take down the Apache with rockets and he obviously shot it down with a pistol.
I liked the first-person awareness type stuff (breaking open the vent, pressing buttons, running anims, etc..) but the machinery animations were really loose, and the textures weren't the best in the world. Though it was a really nice trailer

The textures aren't really his fault though, are they?
That assassin scene nearly made me orgasm.
Those bitches are hot.
Ok, sure, the bounciness is a little over done, but that's what I like about his animation. I think it adds a certain charm to it.

Hit box error? I think you mean a Damage filter error. The Hit box is the area around the model that detects if something hit it.
