It is just a random pictue of some city someone blew up with tnt.
No, both the servers have looked like that every time I've joined.
Profanwolf was on at one point and he banned a bunch of the griefers, and then it was nice, but then he left and a ton more came and destroyed everything.\
EDIT: Both servers down too
I asked Profan if he was thinking about making a list.
He said no.
So forget about it.
Edit: Small world, bistro :buddy:
Actually, the way you get a working furnace is to spawn the 'running' furnace, ID 62, and get your items out right before it stops smelting, and don't leave the interface. Regular furnaces won't work, but spawning a whole bunch of those will work fine. :eng101:

Well, 50% chance of being on your server, though our timing was fairly coincidental.
We should definitely implement a list for the server. As Cypher and udp have shown, griefers will come from anywhere. We need to be secure, and only let people we can trust in. The fact that the game costs money will slow them down, but not stop them. Once banning is correctly implemented, we will be safer
Hey, I am not a griefer!!
Why are both servers offline?
i dont see why you guys are starting the city yet. i'd wait till smp is a lot more stable & working before you start building something big. plus with no passwords, everything just gets destroyed. yeah you're probably trying to get a headstart, but it isn't worth it with the amount of shit around at the moment.
I still have yet to play SMP.
Every time I DO get into a game, I spawn in the middle of the air, fall and die. Repeatedly. And if it does render terrain, it's only a tiny bit. And then I dc. I hope he fixes this shit.

Have you played there? Or read the thread?
We are going to start the city, once profan can set the player limit, and you can get some sort of admin powers.
Password is useless, because you need to know the IP. and if they post here, where the IP is, I see no point.
We are having fun.

You destroyed part of our road with TNT.
Why would you have TNT without the intention to cause problems?
Guys. You gotta see this. It's a thing to make servers that you can change player cap, kick and ban players and a bunch of other shit.
Oh and I think you can make players not be able to get like Flint and iron.

Check it out.Get your :O ready.
Oh and if your already using it, I is ashamed.
Right now, server 2 is the only place where things get done. And only because we hide our settlements greatly, instead of building a conveniently paved road for griefers.
See I think how we should do it is far away from spawn, and possibly operate some kind of citizenship permit.
Essentially, when new players arrive at the (working) gates, they'll have a brief confirmation phase where they basically give there forum username to a verified person who has permission to open the gates and let them in (hopefully via in in-game whisper system). A brief check is carried out whereby the guard will PM them via the forum a codeword, which will then be said by the player in game.
That's it, they'll be allowed into the city after that and be made a citizen by the in-game role system or whatever we decide to operate.
Crimes with in the city (dependant on severity) can result in loss of citizenship and being declared an outlaw.
An additional idea to tie in with this would be a more complex citizenship where the user can pick the industry they'd like to work in and be referred to the guild hall and/or given a kit or some currency to start with.
Outside of the city walls, no citizenship is required or any stuff like that. The paths to and from spawn and to the villages should be patrolled however. Maybe we could have a daily Citizen safe passage convoy which basically consists of 2 heavily armed guards who go and collect a load of citizens and walk them back from spawn to the city for processing as citizens.
Thoughts?
are the servers offline or can i just not connect?
The road was really long.
It's 7 minutes of walking and griefers might think on the way there they are just wasting a long walk to something else that isn't the city.
Never saw the server 2 city nor how to go to it.So if I wanted to go there how would you tell me without telling the someone that is a griefer?
On the first server2 world, it was at least 20 minutes of journey across the land and the sea to get to the Land of Hope, if you knew the path well.
On the new (temporary) S2 world it's shorter, but still requires a confusing journey between islands on the sea to get Candle Cove.
Wish I could get on, I've been trying for like half an hour.
Holy shit dude.
Holy fucking shit.
EDIT:(Can't do the edit thing or whatever)Why the fuck are you guys ignoring me about that post I made about making the 2 servers better?
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewto...f=1012&t=23127 Right here.Download it and stop people complaining about the size of the servers.
You do realize that link is broken, right?
Is that "official" server still up? I played there a while ago and it seems to be down.

they're both down for me
Every time I try to join the server it says "Connection lost timed out", how can I fix this?
I'm afraid Punchopolis is nothing but a dream... It's impossible to build unless you build it out of Bedrock.
Calm down, we get griefed this much because pepole can edit their items.
Notch knows about it, he even mentioned it, he will fix it calm down.
That's why we're waiting until he fixes everything.

Okay I have a question: Why does everyone think that griefing will become non-existent if you take out fire and explosives?
Also, what was the reasoning again for not using a plug-in to stop people who shouldn't be editing the city from editing the city?
Edit: also, what is the plan regarding the city design anyway? The old planner dude got permabanned, after all.

All members and want to be members of the Imperial Kingdom, The start of the kingdom will be delayed for 1 or 2 days - Sorry for the incovienience,
Meanwhile do you own thing
are no servers up? I was really hoping to get into this. I am getting sick of single player survival
