Providing they haven't added any extra authentication copies will play just fine on modified 360's with multiplayer as far as I know although I assume Xbox Live is blocking the game until release.
And again, a game leaks on the 360.

I'd just like to point out that whoever stole the retail copies is an inconsiderate prick.
Say what you want about how much "bobby kotick/activision sucks", but the reality is that a lot of people spent a lot of time and hard work which could potentially be ruined.
How would you feel if you invested a year of your life, full-time, in one project, only to have someone steal it with the intention of leaking it?

Well, atleast people are still playing it and enjoying it.
Besides it's not like they're missing out on much money, Kotick will get his money somehow.
I'm just going to voice my opinion on Modern Warfare 2. If you want to play it, I'm not going to stop you. I like Bad Company 2. I like it because it felt balanced. The medic had its uses, the recon had its uses, the assault had its uses, and the engineer had its uses. The game felt balanced. Most of the weapons could be used in the right situation. Not only that, but I've never experienced somebody yell at me for me beating them. On Call of Duty, I will get messaged telling me to go kill myself when I got a really nice round and got way more kills than deaths. The game feels unbalanced, and the fanbase is GENERALLY not that great. It's like how Halo used to be, except that Halo was more balanced. That's just my two cents. I don't care if you like Modern Warfare 2, that's your opinion. I won't be getting Black Ops, but that's my opinion. Now, I'm not trying to derail, I just feel most people think that people don't like Modern Warfare 2 because it's a bandwagon. That's not always the case.

The fact is; SO WHAT IF THEY LEAK IT? It will get pirated anyway, and those that will have pirated it will, and those that wouldn't, wouldn't.
