Weren't they supposed to flesh out villagers more with quests and stuff? All they did was add an awful trade system that nobody uses because there's no way to profit from it and emeralds are fucking stupid.

"Hmm... He wants an Emerald for 6 loaves of bread... But this guy will give me an Emerald for 12 wool... $_$" Granted the only times I bother with villager trading is in FTB.
Personally I don't like tekkit. I feel it's just too advanced and complicated for some stuff. To each their own I guess. But personally I would like a proper working train cart system thing. And bigger cart curves. Like not one block, but maybe 4 block curves. I say this because carts spin round way too fast.
Try Railcraft or Traincraft(or Steve's Cartss). I can't remember which mod it is, but you can built a completely custom locomotive that bores out tunnels, lays gravel and track and moves on. Some pretty advanced stuff.
Probably add more weapons and blocks and make dungeons more detailed. Maybe putting in guns would be a good idea? The game will probably end up like ace of spades but better XD -More Monsters -More Weapons -More Biomes -Maybe some sort of leveling system -More Blocks -Detailed Dungeons
There are levels already. dungeons exist.
The "dungeons" as they exist now are basically just free loot boxes that you happen across every now and then. A REAL dungeon would be something that generates like the mineshafts/strongholds with tougher enemies in them, possibly even mini-bosses.
i always hoped there'd be more dungeons. when i think back to my earlier times of minecraft i always end up thinking of how to take the dungeons out because i always expected some sort of hidden danger such as a boss battle or stronger mobs
I think they should do away with their current dungeons and just expand abandoned mineshafts. They're far more interesting and dangerous.
I think they should do away with their current dungeons and just expand abandoned mineshafts. Pressure plates are easy to spot and if they're added, they would have to take away the monster spawner else the mobs will just set off the trap. And the absence of the spawner would alert the player to just watch his step. Though I like your line of thinking. If they made a big variety of dungeon traps, it would make you have to think for a moment how best to enter not knowing which trap is there.

parachutes and/or hang gliders
total redesign of the crafting system the way the current system is, you gather shitloads of materials to make the first tier materials, then you have to gather shittons more of materials to make a bunch of tier 2 materials, then you get tier 3 materials out of that and you've only spent 5+ hours just to get access to the complicated stuff. this is an epidemic with mods too which follow the current crafting system so that to make anything like machines in buildcraft you have to spend hours just grabbing up the metals, gems, and smelted shit required to just build a simple machine, let alone the power system and chest systems. just my take but this game has turned too much into a time-sink even without mods, also combat is just fucking retarded, anyone who spams mouse1 always wins, block doesn't do shit and armor is practically useless too. itd be cool if there was some sort of VATs system from fallout, i just think a turn based combat system in minecraft would be cool, like you take aim at a target and unload or something better than whomever spams mouse1 the most. [editline]31st August 2013[/editline] also the vast majority of the game involves luck, luck with what type of chunk you have or what spawns on that chunk. for fortresses they should have added some portal-like contraption you could have put down that would have teled you to the fortress so you wouldn't need to 1, gather all your shit, 2 run around like 200 chunks looking for it. as a whole minecraft is basiclly finished, they haven't really added anything groundbreaking or gamechanging since the end update, it just feels like much of the game's elements are half done and thats kinda one reason why there are large modpacks like FTB and Teckit to fill the gaps [editline]31st August 2013[/editline] lastly NPCs should have been more than bobbing abortions. they should have had the ability to expand their villages or fight with other villagers or build roads. the only use they have is they take really expensive shit and trade for junk or sometimes trade junk for really expensive shit, otherwise given like 4 days zombies usually wipe out villages completely because of the conflicting mechanics of zombies and villages, zombies can break doors, villagers won't spawn in building without doors, so once a zombie breaks a door and kills the villagers behind it, they no longer spawn. its just stupid also they should just stop developing the PC version, catch up on the handheld one (which is written in C++) and then re-release the handheld one on PC with proper modding support tools like what fallout has. hell even the handheld one has a better crafting system, just open a menu and click what item you want made and it'll craft it out of your inventory instead of having to memorize 100+ recipes
i like having recipes. it's fun to watch a new person work them all out without using the wiki, it's a shame so many of them are hard to guess because of how nonsensical they are.
I want them to start from scratch. Fix the code, optimize it, and only put in stuff that people actually use. and make it fucking useful and relevant to gameplay or building. that's all I want.
I want the game to support huge view distances (I'm talking at least 1 km) without lagging horribly.
Furnitures!
Optimization. Without optifine I get like 20 FPS tops.
Furnitures!
Functional furniture. Ability to sit on chairs and such.
Functional furniture. Ability to sit on chairs and such.
I never understood what the point of that would be.
I never understood what the point of that would be.
well the problem is the game lacks any sort of posing at all. when you sit down you just look stupid, your just a splayed thing with your legs sticking out at 30 degree angles. when your in a boat? your legs splay out and stick through the boat. id love to see some implimentation of some sort of multiblock system. like say you place logs in a raft-shape ontop of the water, hit it with a boat and voila, you have a big raft instead of this tiny piece of crap twigboat
For building purposes, I'd like to see every block have both stair and slab versions.
For building purposes, I'd like to see every block have both stair and slab versions.
To continue this, sideways slabs and stairs would also be very useful.
