To be quite honest with you. "Documenting" is what we need to do as a human race to leave our mark on this planet. We learned this after 9/11. (I am Canadian) This is why Hud (camera guy) in Cloverfield did this. There is a ton of lore to Cloverfield. I personaly would love to see a sequel, it's my all time favorite movie. I just love the vibe of it. JJ abrams knows how to make cult classics.

I know, I watched the first few episodes back when it was first premiered. Was not to my liking. But every directer/producer has their moment. Maybe that series was something he really enjoyed when he wrote the script for it. I am sure there are people out there that are deep into it.
Who knows. But he is someone I'd love to sit down and have beers with.

This is my idea of a zombie game, just minus the camera.
I might be able to find some screenshots from the one I was making because I swear it sounds so much like what you're describing.
I'm not quite the fan of top down shooters, but I'm still pretty interested in seeing them.
