Brinks looks interesting
World of Warcraft, one of the best scenerys I've ever seen in a game, the variety of all those regions is just awesome.
Kameo: Elements of Power had some nice spots, though it also had a couple of bland ones (namely the enemy fortress). I highly recommend this to anyone who has an xbox 360, especially since you can probably pick it up dirt cheap now. Another game with exceptional scenery that comes to mind is Zeno Clash. I really hope to see another game set in Zenozoik because it's such a great, whacky world that we only got a glimpse of in Zeno Clash.

Limbo
Planescape:Torment has nice scenery, also Oblivion + Dive Rock (and a sunny day).
I'd say The Void had the nicest sceneries, with each level being a piece of surrealism art. Speaking in terms of interactivity, realism, impressionism and atmosphere however, my top line of games would be Crysis, HL2, the STALKER series and Bioshock.

Well,it may look too brownish.
The Void sure is moody.
skullmonkeys had amazing backgrounds, sadly all the screenshots on google are tiny, similar to Abe in art style.
Might and magic games.
Guild Wars. None of the images coming up on google are all that impressive though...

mafia 2
GTA IV's Liberty City - Not exactly beautiful but really tons of attention to detail. Love it Red Dead Redemption - Oh the sunsets. Uncharted 2 - The level were you walk around in the village made my jaw literally drop. The Modern Warfare 2 after the EMP strikes.
Metro 2033 beats STALKER In all of those :frogdowns:
Too bad it doesn't beat it in replayability
Personally, I thought Half Life 2 was one of the ugliest games I've ever played. Dead Rising 2 is making a good impression so far though.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West as amazing environments. [img_thumb]http://heavenlynariko.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/enslaved-odyssey-to-the-west_2010_03-29-10_04.jpg[/img_thumb]
Bioshock infinity
Can not wait!
Personally, I thought Half Life 2 was one of the ugliest games I've ever played. Dead Rising 2 is making a good impression so far though.
Just a simple question; Did you play it around 2004 when its release defined a new industry standard for the next generation animation, sound, narration, computer graphics, artificial intelligence and physics simulation, or a year or two later when the game engine wasn't cutting-edge any longer?
The new Castlevania. I think they put too much effort into the scenery, since you're running very fast and you just NEED to stop and look it. All of the Bioshock games create good scenery especially Infinite
Oh, I'm thinking Portal 2 looks good graphically too. Especially now that the enrichment centre's overgrown.
Gothic 3 *pics* The game is amazingly beautiful!
The word you were actually looking for is blurry. Blurry.

I really liked the woods in Alan Wake, although they were a bit repetitive. Almost everything else has been mentioned.
