I just finally got around to downloading the shareware version of Duke 3D, I should buy the full version sometime soon.
I love all the little details in it. like running into pool balls cause them to roll, stepping in blood causes you to leave bloody foot prints. All sorts of stuff.
I wish more games these days had this level of detail.
