Unfortunately I'm sober now but Jagermeister is pretty strong stuff (35%); 8 shots was equivalent to 8 pints of beer for me. Was drunk within an hour and a half, it really hits hard.
But hey, might check out the server again in the next few weeks; my college term ended so I've got a lot more free time.

I've just found a load of old screenshots of the server (The map which had Flintridge, Alloro, Crampture etc) on my imageshack account. Here's a link to the album if anyone wants to have a gander.
My favourite are the shots of Flintridge.
For anyone who wasn't around back then, all of the torches in the city were removed in an update, the city was overrun by mobs and all the residents evacuated. A short while afterwards the city was retaken by nature.
Flintridge, reclaimed by nature.

Some of us more adventurous Stalkers would search the cities for supplies at nighttime, fending off mobs and sleeping int he ruins of abandoned skyscrapers.
The best experience I've had on this server was when Profan released Ghasts in the overworld. They roamed the server for weeks wreaking havoc. Whilst scouting for supplies int the ruined city, I was attacked by a ghast. I climbed to the top of a skyscraper and battled the fiend using a stone sword and a half broken bow.

Yeah, I remember the first time I went to Crampture, the cart ride took about 20 minutes haha. I just sat back in my computer chair, smoking a cigarette watching the world fly by. I loved the stations back then too. Here's a pic of the Flintridge central hub station, I think this is the terminal to the desert town?

The railways were one of the things that really struck me the first time I joined the server. The server was more or less empty at the time, but I still had tremendous fun following them from town to town and exploring the abandoned buildings [img]http://i.somethingawful.com/forumsystem/emoticons/emot-buddy.gif[/img]

This is the control platform of the mining barge I'll be sporting when the FTB server pops up (ignore the graveyard in the background and the missing bundled cable).

It's got 24 motors; 4 for each direction for when one motor runs out of energy the other one can keep going so it's very fast. It's 13x6x4 and I call it the Retriever after the EVE online mining barge.
