If the release server list is the same as the beta list then the EU servers will be labelled with "(EU)" but still hosted in NA. I didn't experience any latency issues during the beta whilst playing on a NA server.

also for those wondering, it's not shipping with DX11 support, thus some restrictions are in place on texture size (note the low res flat grass) and allowances for things like cloth physics. It's said that a DX11 client will be released alongside the PS4 release early next year.

So even though my code was filed to be "resent" yesterday, I still didn't receive it even today.

there was a discussion on this in the forum, apparently they're adding vanity slots that will override the look of your equipped armor. Lots of people bitching that it will just enable people to be bikini-clad warriors, but the benefit of it definitely shines when there's some armors you just can't stand the looks of. Sometimes dying your stuff doesn't do much to help the fact you're firing a bow and arrow using oven mitts

Unless the fact that my character reads as "cancelled" under my ff14 service account means that it was really deleted.
If you aren't a legacy account you don't keep old chars anyways. Not that 10 levels is really difficult to recoup

We've not officially chose anything, that said Adamantoise seems to be the ~unofficial~ server
NA/EU servers are one in the same, so yeah I think we're officially Adamantoise for now
How many European players are happy to play on Adamantoise instead of a designated EU server? I only ask because I don't really want to have to rely completely on playing during American business hours to have people to play/chat with.

Good to know. I don't mind playing at odd hours; I used to do it all the time when I was playing FFXI (it was either get up early to play with the Japanese or stay up late to play with the Yanks). However, I'm entering my final year of uni in September and, while I really want get into FFXIV, I will have commitments that mean I can't play until 3 in the morning every time.

I'll be going with the same server as most people goes, so if we do all dogpile adamantoise for release ill be there and i'm a EU dooder.

Darn, that's a real shame. :c does make sence, even if i've only got 1.5k gil on it. i just then have to decide on playing on my own for 6 months or rolling on a new server and forever hating myself for not having the legacy tattoo. :x
