I actually really liked the combat system in XII, and it seems like it's still roughly using that system. I just don't know how you'd make a turn based MMO.

you'd probably have to make it so you activate an encounter and lock into combat with your target/group, and nothing from the outside can affect you unless they queue into the combat rotation or something
but they have to make SOME restrictions to it, otherwise it wouldn't be an MMO
for example I distinctly remember several fights in FFX where I just left the game on and went to sleep mid-fight or something because there wasn't a battle timer or anything so I could just sit there all day. Then again I haven't really played a Final Fantasy game past FFX (except the FFXII demo, which I enjoyed), so I'm sure there's a way to remedy that situation.
As it stands though I'm not a huge fan of turn based combat, so I'm still a little cautious about this.

it's not even 'roughly' turnbased. final fantasy XI is closer to what you're talking about so idk if you searched up the wrong game or something

Marketplace is super bad right now. My main source of income was from selling shards and crystals. They're going for less than 10 gold a shard right now. I used to be able to sell them for around 50 gold a piece before. It's ridiculous.

SE can't even do service accounts right. If you upgraded your account in the mog station digitally, you should be fine. But for people who bought a physical copy(or digitally from Amazon, etc), they have to make a new service account(you won't get your EA items and characters). If anyone else here has bought physical(or digitally from Amazon, etc), wait until SE fixes their shit first.
Still haven't gotten an email from anyone about anything regarding the account I bought from Swefox. Nobody's recieved any emails with early release info, and I've found now that the account requires activation via a 5-segment serial number, which again, we don't have. God damn SE the fuck are you doing trying to manually hand out keys when we already have accounts registered to shit

So I found out that v1.0 players are meant to do the digital upgrade or get the PS3 Collector's edition to get the collector's edition items on your account. I bought a physical PC collector's edition. I honestly don't know what SE was thinking when they decided to do this, I just wish I knew about this before wasting $100.

I did get an invite to the beta but i never played it. I am looking for an mmo to play which is good i don't mind a subscription.

but for 30 bucks I'd say it's worth picking up to try, given the first month is free. You're basically paying $15 for the game given your average mmo monthly fee
